Do You Wear Your Pajamas When . . .

you drive you children to school in the morning? I do, and my pajamas are very stylish with little yellow skunks. Yes, I would even wear them outside if ever I had to get out of the car. LOL. In any case I do put on makeup and quickly put my hair up to be presentable, at least, from the neck up. Actually, I also put on hiking boots and a nice jacket. I saw quite a few moms along the way, getting into their cars in full pajama wear. What's your attire when you drop of the kids?

I am rarely in my pjs when dropping off the kids, if I am it's because we all woke up too late and I can drive right back home. Because of that I don't have time to put makeup on, thank goodness the car windows are tinted. lol (Although I had to do it last week - I stayed in them almost all day because I didn't have to go anywhere.) I work out of my house, so it's okay, but usually I have to go to some appointment after dropping them off - so then it's business attire.

I've been meaning to get my windows tinted. LOL. I see your point, of course, if you have an appointment right after you drop the kids off, it might not be a good idea to be in pajamas. But it's a good option if you're running late and staying home all day. I also work from my home. Sometimes I do get dressed though, just to feel part of the world. :) Thanks Suki for dropping by. Hope you have a wonderful Monday.

I have to walk to school, so I dont wear my p.js, I wouldnt dare, my goodness the gossip would be rife if I did where I live. However one day when I had dropped the kids off at school, my friend and I spotted a lady zooming into the playground on a mobility scooter and she had her pyjamas on with slippers and dressing gown, she caused quite a stir with the mums I can tell you!!!

Hehehe, what would they gossip about? Okay, maybe you shouldn't answer that. Now about that lady in full pajama gear, slippers, gown and all . . . I would never do that. My hiking boots go really well with my pajama pants and I usually don a winter coat or sweater of some sort. I mean to say, if you're gonna wear pj's make it as classy as possible. :) Thanks for your input Gemini Rose. Have an awesome Monday!

When I did drop my son off at school, I was usually on my way to work. SInce I did not go to work in my pajamas, I was dressed in work attire.
Sorry to disappoint you. BUt I must say, right now i have several pairs of Cabela's microfleece pajamas and they are warmer to wear outside (I have worn them walking the dogs late at night) then any pants or jeans that I own.

Hehehe, I'm glad to hear that you didn't go to work in your pajamas. I think most people did in their nightmares, or something like that. And I do think it's quite acceptable to wear cozy pj's when walking the dogs at night. Thanks for stopping by Debs, hope you have a wonderful week.

i guess if you are not getting out of the car its ok, but first impressions are EVERYTHING! if i am taking my kids to school, i throw on jeans or whatever, but usually i am on the way to work at that time in the morning (i still walk with her part way) and i am wearing cords or casual pants or a skirt (when it unthaws outside!)

You're probably right about first impressions. But it's so cozy, especially when it's cold outside. I think there was a time when kids were actually wearing pajama pants to school. Or maybe I was just dreaming.

I admit I have taken my kids to school in my pajamas before. They are flannel pajamas and are long sleeved with long pants and have penguins on them. I always worry I will get into an accident and be in my jammies though.
I have even seen grown ups go into the grocery store in there jammies to go grocerys shoping!

Pajamas are so cozy. I really don't like wearing jeans because I feel so restricted. Know what I mean? But you're right, I have asked the same question: "What would we do if we got in an accident with our pj's on?" Or what if our cars broke down? Oh well, at least we were comfortable.

I don't have children to where jammies to take them.
I'm just responding about how you would feel if you were in an accident wearing your jammies.
If you think about it wearing your jammies if you had to go to hospital, you would at least be dressed right. Also you might not have to wear one of those awful gowns. It's a plus for wearing them to your childrens school.
I just wish we could wear them any where as they are so comfortable.

My kids always had to walk. It was that close. I was always at work, so they got themselves off to school. I do see lots of moms dressed that way. I actually have seen more than I wanted. At least you have shoes on in case you had to walk anywhere.

I have drove my daughter to school in my pajamas before but not very often. I am always afraid to break down or something. I usually wear sweatpants, sweatshirt and a jacket and tennis shoes, but sometimes we are in a hurry and I go in my PJ's.

I would drive with my PJs but I wouldn't go into a place in them. I see teens go to school and stuff in PJs but I wouldn't do it. I will go to the car or the mail in them but this is a small area with no one around. My PJs are okay but they are VERY big cause I like lots of room as I sleep so they are not very 'pretty'.

I'm a stay at home mother and the two that go to school...yes, i wear my pajamas, but i always wear sweats to bed or something like that. I don't see the point in getting all dressed up to drop them off and go home. Might as well be comfortable in my book. LOL! thanks and God bless

I usually wear sweat pants. Sometimes I wear flip flops too. I have to walk inside to take my daughter to her classroom. She has to be signed in.

i think pajamas are cool! different designs for stylish people. sorry just want to say something. i don't really have kids yet. but yes -- going around the village in my pj's has never been a problem to me. it would be odd wearing one though if the sun is high already.
