My wife, my daughter, and myself went to a local Olive Garden the other day. I have eaten dinner there but never lunch. Now I am not a big fan of salads (rabbit food).
But they have a soup and slaad buffet at lunch hours. They have 3 soups, my fave being Zuppa Toscana which is spicy sausage, russet potatoes and cavolo greens in a creamy broth. I also had the Minestrone which is great. I had not tried the Pasta e Fagioli which is white and red beans, ground beef, tomatoes and pasta in a savory broth. The sald arrives in a huge bowl. It's a Caesar salad. Now for not liking salads I had 2 large servings of the salad. They also offer breadsticks which are tasty. Unlimited refills as well. I topped it off with an ice cold iced tea. I think I'll be eating salads more often now due to health concerns as well. Have you tried Olive Gardens Soup and Sald buffet yet? Are you a big salad eater at all?

My hubby hates pasta, and so we have not eaten at Olive Garden. The food sounds great, though. I like salads a lot. Like to make my own. I could eat a meal like that, soup, salad, and bread sticks. Salad is only as healthy as the stuff you put in it.

I know that, and you know that, but he is just a big pastaphobic. Something about seeing a sink full of spaghetti start to move in the middle of the night when he was a kid.

I love salads & am constantly looking for new ideas. They are very good for our health. But be very careful of dressings. Some can be very high in calories or fat, & spoil the positive benefits of the salad.
I love soups too. I make home made soups a lot in winter.
I dont know what Love Gardens Soup is, but no doubt I would certainly enjoy this kind of buffet.

I actually don't like dressings.
I prefer vinegar and oil on my salads.

I have never eaten at Olive Garden but was told they have yummy pasta and salads. I do like my salads and they vary each time we dine out. It's usually the normal greens with chicken or steak and maybe a few other different nuts and stuff inside. I need to get back into eating salads again too.

They have great food. I have yet to eat anything there I did not like. What I really loved was the salad was so crisp you'd have thought they just picked the lettuce from a garden.

I love Olive Gardens salad, but it is not exactly healthy. It is covered in dressing and cheese. I have not tried any of the soups that you mentioned though. I like the bread sticks too. My favorite thing there is the Stuffed Chicken Marsala.

Oh. I will understand your idea. I enjoy the salads over at Olive Garden. I would do the specials as well. I like all the italian meals they offer at a great price. There is one in my area. I have been to the one in Tampa, Fl.

I love to visit Olive Garden for lunch. The Pasta E Fagioli is really great. Two bowls and I'm full. I'm a big fan of soup and try to get a different kind each time I visit.

Hi Grandpa,
Saladddddd...#$%^&*, lol! I wish I can learn how to eat that rabbit stuff. As it is, I still prefer a well-cooked greens.
We don't have Olive Garden here. But I have one favorite restaurant which is called The Spaghetti House. They served the best pasta with all the condiments cooked just the way we like it.
One serving is big enough for 2. I have a very hard time choosing which pasta is my favorite since everything taste heavenly.

I like to eat salads in the summer, ceaser salads are particularly nice as i like the dressing. I also like to have salad in my sanwich along with my filling. Today i had a chicken sandwich with a salad of lettuce, cucumber and tomatos in for my dinenr and it was yummy. Sometimes i just have a plate with salad items on it and cold meats and that's nice too.

I love Olive Garden! And I love their soup and salad combo meal. You know you can get unlimited refills on all of the soup, salad, and breadsticks. If you eat enough it is a pretty economical meal. And if you don't like salads too much then just eat a little of it and then get refills on the soups. I always get the Pasta e Fagioli soup - it is my favorite! Then you can do what I do - order the food, eat to your heart's content and then ask for refills. When the waiter comes by to give you your check tell him your eyes were bigger than your stomach and you would like to get your "leftover" salad, soup, and breadsticks to go. They don't give me a problem about it, pack it up for me, and then I have lunch for the next day.
Gotta try to be as thrifty as you can!

The last time I went there was eight years ago. I don't know if they had a soup and salad buffet. I love their salad. I could eat it everyday. I could probably live off of salad. Anyway, I have not tried their soups, but the Zuppa Toscana sounds really yummy. See now I am hungry and I just ate.

Lunch .. That is the biggest , heaviest, and the most important diet of my day.
I make my lunch heaviest and the dinner lightest as not much of strain has to be taken during the night.
I take the staple east indian diet of rice, pulses, salads, and yog hurt.

I love their soup and salad lunch special! We eat that often when we're looking for someplace inexpensive but good to do lunch at. I do enjoy a good tossed salad.

Actually, my mother, my sister and I are going to Olive Garden for lunch today and that is what I was planning to have. Now I'm sure of it!
Myself, I love salad but don't eat it enough. The price of produce is crazy but our lettuce and spinach should be popping up in our garden any day now.

I love the olive garden and their endless soup and salad... my favorite is also the Zuppa Toscany .
I rarely go to the olive garden though as the closest one to us is over 100 miles each way - and when we have reason to go to that city we usually go to a mongolian barbeque if we decide to eat out as my son's diet is restricted from very much fat and at the mongolian place he chooses the lean cuts of meat and select veggies and they cook it up for him right there - it is one place he can really pig out and I like to go there as I get pleasure in seeing him get to enjoy a dinner out when the opportunity presents itself.

I have been thinking of going there for the soup and salad bar at lunchtime. i havent been to the Olive Garden in ages and it would be a nice treat. At 5.95 it really isn't a bad deal. Salad really is so good for you.

I would go with lunch or supper specials at Olive Garden. I always enjoy it a lot. It is the best Italian restaurant ever. There is one in my area. I always have great meals over there. I also enjoy Red Lobster for seafood meals. I will never give up going to these places at all. I love it!

I actually love the soup, salad, and breadsticks special at Olive Garden. My favorite soup is the same as yours, Zuppa Toscana and I can probably eat 3 bowls of it. I'm a salad fan anyway though, I chuckle to hear it referred to as 'rabbit food'. I am absolutely addicted to breadsticks, good thing I don't go out that often for meals because you cannot keep me away from the breadsticks, bread basket, or biscuits. LOL! I tend to really enjoy my meals out, I'm a healthy meal cooker at home so if I'm going out, I'll try things I don't normally eat or eat more of what I love.
