Do you like onions?

Which is your favorite: yellow, red, white, or green onions, or other types of onions I didn't mention? I like all of them but my favorite is Vidalia onions which are sweet yellow onions from Vidalia, Georgia.

I like just about every kind of onion that there is for various reasons. The read and green onions are good in salads The walla walla and vidalia is good for sandwiches such as hamburgers. The others I like to cook with. Did you know that the flatter the onion is the sweeter it is? Onions are also a good health food. They can help lower your chances of getting cancer and they help with healthy bones. To keep the onions from making you tear up chill the onions for an hour or so before cutting which is better than cutting them under running water.

wow, you posted some great information. i didn't know about the relation between the flatness and sweetness of an onion. also great tip on cutting onions. thanks for your response.

hi there .. well the green onion i love it for the bean salad .. its perfict there . but for my cooking i use the yellow onion it make the chicken tease better ...lol

Hi there... Yes I love onions, my favourite onions would be the red onion, green onion and of course the white onion, we use alot of this vege in our diet, along with garlic...

i like to have a fried onion with scrumbled eggs ..and between the onion kinds i like the yellow ... for cooking and i like the green onion too ..

aahhh... fried onions with scrambled eggs makes me hungry, but it's past midnight. i better go to bed. perhaps tomorrow i'll make some :)

hehe... i can't blame you. i used to not like it too, but after you cook it, it won't taste or smell quite as strong. try sweet onions. they taste great and don't have the strong smell.

I like the small red onions. Funny is that I love eating raw onions - chopped up with tomatoes as part of a dip (salsa) - but I don't like eating cooked onions. Weird.

I don't like oinions on things like hamburgers but I do use oinions to cook with to give the food flavor like when you fry hamburger for gouash the oinion in the hamburger gives it flavor or potato salad it definately needs oinion for the flavor.

Onions are a very tasty food whether they are raw or fried. Delicious to add to any kind of recipe. They might be strong in flavor but I believe that they have some health properties that are good for us. I would have to say that the Vidalias are at the top of my list. I like those sweet ones in my cooking and they are even good on hamburgers raw or fried. The big white ones are good too and I don't even mind the yellow ones every once in a while.
