I just wonder, there are so many community sites out there and on each and every site there is an option of having friends and followers. What is the maximum amount of friends that you managed to have on one of the community sites? How did you manage to find so many friends? And why did you do this?

Ha Mine is none! I am useless at these community sites, I am on facebook, bebo and such and I have never managed to make any friends, I was on another too but all that seemed to be about was men after women and vice versa and it was not even a dating site. This is the best place I have come across, I have a few friends in my list, but none of them I talk to on a personal level, I just answer discussions and things, like I am doing with you! But I dont mind that at all.

Well the most friends I have on any one particular site is on Facebook I think I have about 280, but I can say that every friend on facebook are ones that I have met, at least, or are friends from high school, people from societies and people in my department. I have this many links because I use Facebook as a way of keeping in touch with old friends and up to date with events that are going on in societies and my department that I am involved with.

well your right there are many places to find friends here online.. I find mine threw chatting programs actually and some social sites.. chatting though you can know a person much better than threw some other kinds of site.. But when you are chatting you must have total trust in the person before going forward with them.. At least I know I do.. So many people can be so fake on chatting sites so it's always a must to be extreamly careful when it comes to that.. Sites like this and when people ask questions and tell others about them self is also a good way to make friends..

If someone on myLot requests to be my friend the first thing I do it check their profile and if they have hundreds of friends but have only accumulated a low number of points then I deny them. The reason is obviously they do not respond to all their friends discussions. It almost seems as if they are collecting as many friends as possible to win some kind of trophy. I also check to see if we share similar likes and dislike as I prefer to get to know my friends not just a name on a list.

On myspace, I have over 200 friends... I regularly talk to 26 of them, I talk to another 30 once a week, and the rest are just an occasional comment. We all found each other through the interests we display on our pages, or because we were friends on another site and wanted to be a little more flexible in our contact with each other, or because we're family and wanted to have a central 'hub' for getting together. I love to be with people, to talk and laugh and get to know everything about each other, but for many years I was house-bound due to injury. Online, we can be together all the time, without having to travel. We can instant message, message, and comment... I've had as many as 5 conversations going at the same time! Plus I have a group page where all the females can go when we're feeling sassy or b!+chy! This is the most fun I've ever had, and I love these people so much! We may never meet face-to-face, but I have them in my life, and my life is much better because of them.

I have over 1000 friends here at Mylot on my friends list. I have asked some of them to be my friend and the other ones asked me. I like to have a variety of friends and discussions from people from all over the world and I like to hear responses from them too.

Ok I have joined lots of sites. I test them out to see if they are good for finding people, helping with a websites rank, help home business become more visual and so on. They are good to link up with like minded persons. So My lowest amount is probably here. My highest amount is like 1800 at apsense, which is a great biz network. I keep in touch with groups, mail, blogs, bulletins there. Here I am yet to find my groove.

The only site I use that I can add friends is MySpace. Right now, I have about 155 friends. I used to have about 200, back when I'd add anyone and everyone. I have since cleaning out my list, and have only kept coworkers, family, and friends. The majority of my list is people I went to high school with.

Hello Soleya, I honestly don't keep track on how many friends I have. I just keep on adding when somebody gives me an invite to be a friend and just add someone who replies my discussion and caught my attention. But in most cases, I just hit accept button and add anybody who invites me as a friend. I even don't know how many friends I have now here in mylot, lol. But I know some of their username. As I usually go on their discussion and reply.

I have around 1,000 Myspace friends. I'm not sure how, or why. I've only asked maybe 30 out of that to be my friend, (the people I actually know, though I might be underestimating that number a bit.) I don't know most of the actual people that are my 'friends' on that. I talked to them when we first added one another, but I've lost touch over time because I'm not a big Myspace fan. The majority those friends are bands and various music groups that I like to keep tabs on, so while I'm not necessarily 'talking' to them, I find being friends with them to be very informative. Some of the others are the 'contest sites' that people have made. Generally they're kind of like beauty contests for people that are really into Myspace, and I like voting for things like that. (I'm not sure why, I guess it's the same concept as why some people are in love with American Idol and other similar shows.) I've gone through my friends a few times, but whenever I go to delete someone I haven't talked to in a while, I'll go to their profile and see that something has changed or something that interests me, so I'll shoot them a message or post a comment and then get back in touch again, and then I can't delete them. I guess it helps that I only get on Myspace maybe once every couple of weeks, so I have time for friend requests to add up without me really realizing it.

I don't know how many friends i have in mylot. I don't think it's important to know the number of our friends :) i just added personally interesting person to be my friends, and approve friend request.

I think i do have around 120 online friends in mylot.com and its my highest friend list in online account. My second highest online friend list is 80+ which is in orkut.com. Finding friends is a lil bit difficult work but i manage it too.

I think I'm a little shy, then there isn't many online friends.Up to now,I just have three online friends from QQ.We often talk about out lives on QQ when we're free. Although the amount isn't large,I think it's enough. So in my opinion, the maximum amount of online friends is not changeless,we can confirm it as we wander.
