I also get a lot of that kind of email. Did you ever use your email to sign up for any website? Sometimes, sites will sell your email address to others and you might never know. Who is your email provider? I know that some of them you can have spam filtered out although it doesn't always work. But if you mark any of those messages as spam, then more than likely it would go into that folder in the future. I generally do that and go on. It is irritating, but there is not much that can be done about it. Have a great day!!!

I also changed over to gmail for the same reason. I still use my yahoo account, but most of the things I have changed over already. Fortunately, most of the spam goes into that folder, but when it doesn't I just hit the button and it goes bye-bye.

I do go to the point of looking at the titles in case something I need goes in there by mistake and then I either mark everything as "read" or I delete it. I don't open any of it unless it looks important. I have occasionally found something that I did need in there.

I used to get alot of spam mail also. I guess these people get our address from other sites we have joined with or something. Some sites sell our information to companies and they selll to other companies as well and that is how they get our email addresses.

Nobody is spare of spam email especially if you are usung Yahoo. My gmail is free of spam email however I still prefer yahoo mail and it is my primary email.
There are lots of ways for them to get our email address. When we provide our information to any site, sometime they sell our information. The easiest way is they can even refer to the email database. Before I am about to enter into the email database but now it is being blocked. I believe there are so many ways for them to do so. Just imagine how the hackers can penetrate into CIA, FBI and the latest was Havard University.

hi lynnchua, havn't you hesrd the privacy information giveaway? once you have registered some websites and given out your privacy information such as mobilephone number,id number and mailbox, you are in the danger of being betrayed by the websites. they can sell your information to many corporations who use it for business promotion.
that's why you are troubled by them.be cautious to give out your key information and only trust certain websites.that's waht i do now.take care.
