What do you think about posting and responding to your own discussions?

Do you think Mylot rewards us for responding to our own discussions that we have made ourselves that other members have respoonded to? When we respond back to others, alot of members say we do not get rewarded for it on our own discussions. some say we do.
What do you think. Have you tried to only respond to others who responded to your discussions in a days time?
Did you earn for it?

I don't think that we get credit for responding to a response to our discussions but we may if we reply to a response of a response. Did you follow???? LOL
But one thing it does do, for the one's that use the home page to respond to disucssions, everytime that you respond to a response to one of your discussions it brings it back to the top for friends to see and respond to it if they haven't yet. That's one of the advantages I see in responding to a response to our discussions.

Well, let's see I'm going to respond to a response and everyone can pitch in and well see. If terri0824 is correct, this shold bring it back to the top for friends to see. Take advantage of responding to a response and will make this one big affair.

I just want to pitch in and put give my two cents. So here I am responding to a response. If you like to reply go ahead, then I might have something to ask.

Yes they do pay us for starting one of course and replying to each one of them THAT day... I don't believe they do afterwards... I mean the next day at least I've never seen any earnings from when I replied the next day to my replies I've gotten... I am not sure but they may as long as you take the time to reply with a nice reply.. Just my thought!!

One way to find out, we could sit here all day and just have our conversations all on this thread

You know what? I kind of think so too. I tried this the other day. I responded only to my discussions that other members had responded to. I checked my earnings and I did earn for it. I have always questioned this because when I first joined here a year ago, other members told me we do not get rewarded for it. I just always felt like that was not the case.

Another tip is, after making your post and answering a discussion, return to the discussion and add a comment to another post, this will also give you another credit point. This comes in handy when you cant find many discussions to respond to

if you look at the guidelines they tell you not to respond to your own responses on your discussions you will not be payed for it, but as you say some people think that you do so I just don't know anymore

I have never tried it, but I understand we are not supposed to reply to our own discussions. We can share our toughts while posting our comments on the responses received. An option for replying to our discussion could be, we can search for the similar discussion and then go for response.

Yeah. There is no way to reply to our own discussions anyways. I mean do we earn for replying to those who replied to our discussion? The answer is yes we do. I tried it the other day.

Now there is an interesting concept..LOL
I do it for free all of the time..lol
it would be nice to be paid for it once in
awhile..lol
I don't know..maybe you should try it and then
start another discussion about it. :)

I have no idea, so I only respond if I have something to say..The way they pay us is very confusing, but I am not going to complain, especially since I am doing so well..

I was always under the impression we did not get paid from our responses back to our own discussions, I am going to keep a eye out too. I would really like to know the answer to this question, Hmmmmm I wonder if Crash is around. I am very new myself so really I just am not sure.

This is a very good discussion. I have wondered about this myself. I look forward to seeing the responses.
But as for me I'm not sure if we do. I have also heard yes we do and no we don't.

That was an interesting topic and it certainly got people posting reponses... and all of them varied!
So the answer is 'we still don't know'!
I agree with you that at times when you have done a lot of responding the $ don't seem to rise very quickly but for me I believe that every time you respond you get something.
A couple of days ago I did about 10 responses and my avatar number didn't change which was confusing but about a couple of hours later when I logged back in the numbers suddenly went up by 10. So maybe the slowness in computing the $ is just that it is thinking about all our responses and then suddenly adds them up? For instance my money right now hasn't gone up and they haven't updated the earnings for 22 hrs!

I responded to my discussions only the other day and I did earn so it is a fact we do earn for responding to our own discussions that people have responded to and we responded back.
I had a problem the other day too with my point total not going up but it finally did later. I have had alot of duplicate emails recently also. I did alot of work here one day and barely made anything but the next day it went way up also. I think there are alot of bugs in the system to work out.

Yep, I think the bugs need to be ironed out and then we will all be happier. But it is good to know that whenever you post you get something. Somewhere along the line someone wrote that the longer the response the more you get paid.
If that is true, that is a darn shame I didn't hear about that before as I was 'playing a game' of thinking of 50 things beginning with the letter A and each answer had to be a separate post (obviously) and of course I gave out a huge number of replies (as I enjoyed the game) but only with one word.... :(
Oh well, it's all experience, I suppose.

Actually I did recently spent the day responding to nothing but the discussions that I started that others responded to and I did make a profit from it. So yes, you do get paid for responding back to the discussions that you make.

Glad to be of help! I have found that I make more if I respond back and also post to discussions so it is worth responding back to them. Have a good day today stephcjh, but don't work to hard..

Thanks for letting everyone know. I tried this the other day myself and in fact earned from it also. Alot of people have always told me that we do not get paid for it, but I see that we do. I am so glad that we are not just wasting our time by doing it.

It doesn't show that you earn for responding to your own discussion's responses, but if you keep the thread going in a discussionary manner, then yes, you do earn from your responses to your own discussions. That's the whole idea of the site, to make a discussion out of an interesting topic, and you are rewarded for it, both in ratings and earnings.
Brightest Blessings.

That is what I think too. They won't pay us for a measily thank you or thanks but they do pay us for keeping a discussion going. I always try to respond with more information so it will keep the discussion going but I do not respond if the reply does not require a response.

Yes. I tried this the other day and I found out the answer myself. another person posted that they tried it also and found the answer.
The anser is YES. We do get paid fro responding back to others who responded to our discussion. I tried and checked my earnings the next day and there it was.

I usually respond to the responses that are made to my discussions. I feel it is a sort of gratitude for their precious time being spent in this regard. But I do not think mylot pays for that.

I make an effort to do that too. I feel if someone is helping me out than I need to make that effort back. Sometimes I am unable to do so or I will get so many people responding I will have trouble keeping up. Happy mylotting to you.

i am not so sure about this but i will respond only when there is a need to respond, but whether myl;ot pays or not its the feeling of the converstaion that really matters to me and knowiing fully well that there are people out there who feel you have something they can relate to,that iis enough reward for me

I never thought about this before. but when someone responded to my discussion and then I responded back to their posts, my number didn't increase, so I assumed that my earning would not increase either.
I never tried only responding to others who responded to my discussions back then, I still posted responses to my friends' discussions. however, yes, since I replied many responses to my discussion, I made fewer posts to the others back then, but I still got good earning. however, perhaps the good earning was from my long posts even if the number of posts were few.

yes, now I noticed it too. even if my posting number seemed increasing fewer, but the earning was still good. you're right. keeping a discussion alive will also give us better rate in earning.
I think that's how myLot actually wants from the members here. thanks for giving us attention towards this issue.
