Just a very honest reply, do you think all the discussions and responses here from your part are very well thought ones? or its just like for the sake of starting or responding one? I think honestly i try to write well thought discussions or responses. But i like to keep them brief and to the point. I have seen here many very large discussions started . But I have seen that most of the responses are just one or two liners. what is your view?

I don't start a lot of discussions here in mylot because i want mine to be a little unique and well thought of... i also keep them brief but they are not oneliners... and if ever i miss out something... i write the additional information in the comments that i leave to those who responded to my discussion... I can also say the same to the responses that i make... i don't response just for the sake of it... i choose the discussions that i can relate to so that i have something meaningful to write...

I choose discussions to anwered with and i will not response certain discussions if i can't reply it. Every responsed and discussions that i made were very well thought. There are some who responsed just one line to two lines. But as you will read it. It had a point too or an impact to the discussions they responded with.

in my own discussion, i always made it into very well thought. i just don't want spend my time by giving discussion or response discussion without any well thought. it just be useless in my opinion cause you would not able to earn better and the person that you responded did not get any good input for their discussion. i just feel happy if what i am writing in mylot could able to help another by my opinion or comment

All my discussions are well thought out. That's one reason that I do not start too many discussions. My responses are most of the time well thought out....but sometimes, I'm multi tasking or my attention is on my kids, and I can't really respond well.

mine are well thought out and I like to educate people because I am an educator, I can have a discussion where only 3 people respond or 100 just depends on what peope find interesting.

It all depends on what it is about. If the topic at hand really grabs my attention and I have alot to put into it, it will become very lengthy. Some of the discussions I have responded to, do not reuire a very long response to it but I do try to be as detailed as possible. I never type one or two liners though. that is a waste of my time and theirs.

Well, subha, for my part, I do try to write honestly. I won't say well thought-out, because what is well thought-out to me may seem cheap and shallow to you. It depends on the perspective. But I simply can't bring myself to do one thing which many people here have advised me to do before answering a question. They've asked me to go through the answers which have already been provided and then frame an answer which will be unique and not just a cliched one. Fair advice, I agree. But as you know, popular users like you often get a sea of responses and it will be quite a feat if I can go through all the responses. Sometimes, if the number has already crossed more than 50, I simply don't bother to answer any longer because the person who had started the discussion will have long lost his interest in that question, having received so many replies. LOL Oh God, I have already crossed the limit of what you might have meant by "brief and to the point". So very sorry. But here is me hoping that you will go through my response and if you are gracious enough, honour me by responding back to it.

I do think that my responses are well thought out - and perhaps that is why it takes me such a long time to increase my points. I agree though, that some responses may be very wordy but not have much content or thought put into them in relation to the discussion at hand.

On most of the cases i go through the entire topic and see what people have responded.. if i find that the topic that is discussed is an interesting one, surely i will participate in it, or otherwise i will skip to next topic.. Probably that is the reason why my number of post counts has not gone beyond 2000. If i would go on a rampage.. just to fill the lines for a cent i would have gone long.. long..away. Also, i have a concern that, by this forum, slowly we friends here has created a repute amongst ourselves..which i try to maintain at all costs. At no point of time i don't want the repute and friendship finding off the track. Take care friend.

i try to give a very honest and well-thought respond everytime.. and i dont really respond to everything (that comes in email notification) - sometimes i find the topic is just too 'huge', or too 'intelligent', or too complicated for me to respond to... i only attempt to write something if only i think i really have something to share... but sometimes some discussions may not really require a very long response - maybe it is just to wish the other myLotter something..

I cannot say about others. But when I write something - either my new discussion or response or comments, I try to write it with full honesty. I do not feel like starting a discussions for the sake of it. I feel if there is some issue on which members can contribute, then only I start a new discussion. Different members have different attitude, some are comfortable while writing one-liner or two-liners and some of them go for a detailed reply.

hi subha! i think most of my responses and discussions are well-thought. but i admit that some of them just came rushing out of my brain and me writing it without even really thinking of it. sometimes i even forget to put some details but i think that doesn't mean that it isn't well-thought. because i can be so forgetful sometimes no matter how hard i think or try to remember of that something. ^__^;; most of the times though, i don't get directly to the point, i elaborate so that i can better express myself. writing such short responses or discussions can really leave me hanging.

To me, it all depends on what the poster is asking in their discussions. Some ask a simple question and I give a simple answer which may only be a sentence long. Others ask several questions and sometimes more in-depth ones, so I tend to spend more time there, hoping to give a well thought out answer.

Well, when I respond to a discussion, I try to write at least four lines of response. I don't concentrate on my earnings much, but at the same time I know that if I don't post at least four lines, it doesn't count for anything. That being said, I also try to put as much content into each of my responses as possible. I don't think that I think about them too much, but then again I like to write so it doesn't take much thinking for me. I like to think that my responses are there to make a difference, so I only respond to discussions that I feel that I can make a worthwhile response.

I think that mine are very well thought out. I try to say more than just a simple answer because I don't feel like that does justice to the questions. I think that if you took the time to ask me something, I should take the time to give you better than a one line answer! You are worth more of my time than a brief sentence. I speak from the heart. I won't finish until I have nothing more to say. On occasion, I am less wordy with my answers. But, usually, I have a ton of stuff to say on the subject. I talk a lot in general. LOL! I am rarely without words! Some might think I talk too much! They are probably right! But, that is why I feel so good about doing it here on myLot. If a person has read enough of what I have to say, they can just stop reading! LOL!
