more than a year back, when I had just started mylotting, I got into a bit of a tiff with one of the existing members here. After a long series of written ping-pongs, we became ‘friends’. I enjoyed his posts more than he did mine nevertheless he always replied and his responses were kind of civil indulgences to my very novice writing skills. He was one of the first to accept me as a friend and his wide area of interest and sense of humour made his posts very interesting to read. Then somehow around 6 months back, I could no longer see him at mylot. I waited all this time and around a few weeks back I PM-ed him. Still no response and now, just a few minutes back, I get a message from him! Yipeeeeeeeeeeee, my friend is back. Don’t know whether he will be here like before but it was soooooooooooo nice to at least hear from him after so so so long a time. I want to scream and share this with everybody. I have never seen him, not likely to ever, never even spoke to him, but somehow I was missing him at mylot. Has this ever happened to any of you? A long-lost friend suddenly back in your circle? Didn’t you enjoy the moment? I feel like jumping up and down right now!

sorry I could not reply earlier, but yes, friends are always precious to me specially long lost ones. I have become so attached to mylot and its regular participants, its like another family to me. so if someone is missing for quite sometime, I get this nagging feeling, you know like something is not complete, someone should have been here, where is that person and so on. maybe everybody is not like me, but i feel soooooo glad that my friends are healthy and active. it kind of reassures me in my own life.

If I do not see my friends for a long time, I will miss them very much and wonder how they have been doing with their their life and work. Friends play an important part in our life. Congratulation! Your friend is back! I can relate to your feelings, because you tell that he was the first one to accept you as your friend, so you must have got lots of regards for him. When you are interacting with friends on mylot, you develop a kind of bond with them. And someday, if they go 'missing', you feel their absence like th absence of a real life friend (because we all are emtional....LOL!)
Similarly, I also cannot forget the member, who first accepted my request and gave me invaluable support and all kind of assistance to continue here. She encouraged me to write and share my views. She is inactive for past many months, but I have not forgotten her. If sometimes I send her a PM, she does repond.

yes, its truly amazing how we all miss each other just like a huge extended family. I start missing people whom I don’t see for way a week or more. Its not that I respond to their discussions all the time, but just seeing them is kind of reassuring for me.

I agree, i have met so many persons here in mylot and many other sites, with few we became friends, exchange of email address was the first step next was the first step followed by phone numbers, the friendship grew, we are very close family friends now..

hi sudipta! i'm happy for you for having your friend back. i know how you feel. that happened to me for a few times. i would have a friend who i really enjoyed the company and for some reason they'd be absent from my life and then after a while they would show up. no matter how long they were absence and even if i got a little mad for leaving so suddenly without a word, the feeling of missing that friend would prevail and i wouldn't help it but just feel glad and give that friend a warm "welcome back".

Hello sudiptacallinggu. I think that I can feel how happy you feel and I can see you jumping up and down there next to your computer with great joy. I am very happy for you to have got your friend back to Mylot. In fact, I also have a friend, who was very active months back, but for some reason, she was no longer seen. I missed her so much for her beautiful writings, especially those wonderful and attractive poems that could always make one feel interested. She is finally back and I am very happy to see her with her discussions and poems. Let's say Cheers to our friends coming back to this wonderful community with us all. Happy mylotting.

Well, im not here for many months i just back last month of march..and sure your friend also treasured of how you treasured him. Coz, thats what i feel also when someone i know treasured me.

Glad to here that you reach you long-lost friend in mylot.
Surely, this feeling for getting a long lost friedn is one of the best one in the world. I used to have a very good friend in primary school, but I didn't contact with him after I moved to a new City, I am dreaming of seeing him again in near future, but still have no idea how to contact with him. I couldn't image how happy I could be if I see him after such a long period.

I also have a friend like that whose responses I always look forward to reading.Her responses are always well thought out and she answers all my discussions.i have never missed afriedn since all my friedns are still active but I would miss her and a few other friends if the went missing in action .Isnt it lovely when you can connect to someone on cyberspace and especially mylot ,I think this is what makes mylot so unique
