In which mylot interest do you find is the best to post?

I have started a few discussions. 2 of my discussions, I started from what I felt was the appropriate interests, however, they have received no responses. Do you always post in the "appropriate" interest. For example, if you have a question about landscaping, do you use the "landscaping" interest icon?
If not, what do you find is the best interest to post to get maximum responses regardless of the content of your post? I like it here and I am still feeling my way around

I usually start discussions in an interest that it's related to. But, there are general interest categories that get a lot of good discussions and responses. These include the "life" and "people" interests. But, sometimes, I get a lot of responses starting a general discussion, but your chances are better if it's in an interest.

Yes, the ones that I don't post in an interest seem to get fewer responses or the responses come slower. I have one right now that I just started as a general discussion and it's only got 2 responses.
But, mainly, the key is to start discussions that as many people can answer as possible. I just happen to like discussing specific items, so I don't get as many responses.

If you post to an inappropriate interest group you run the risk of having your discussion deleted by mylot. The hierarchy and naming conventions used on the this site can take some getting used to, but try to post in the appropriate interest group.
The best way to get comments is to give comments. myLot is sort of cliquish so find a clique to exchange responses with.

I understand what you mean. If I have a discussion to start about dogs, I am not going to post it in "cats". I just get get frustrated when I need help and post in that interest and get no responses .. ya know?? I do have a pretty good group of friends and it seems we post about equally in each others discussions. Thanks :)

I always find myself in the questions and answers section and the relationships section. I also go to the similar discussions when I respond to one discussion I use those to find others on the same topic and then go back to my beginning interest to write a response.

For me, it depends as I have a couple of discussions I have started as well that have very few responses to them, and sometimes it could be the Subject title, or the interest, etc. where it is. Plus sometimes, there are so many people on here and New discussions being started all of the time. The easiest way I find to help with getting more chance of my discussions being responded too, is take time to post more to discussions in here, and make New friends who will post back to some of my New discussions as well.
Just some thoughts you might want to consider, and continued success to you here in myLot.

The most interests that I post in are Life , People and Relationships. I sometimes wander towards the music and Q&A too. ah, I forgot.. myLot.com is also one interest where I post frequently
Make Extra Money is also one of my interests
