Do you have a set dinner time?

We eat between 5 and 5:30pm. My daughter goes to bed between 7:30and 8. So this is ideal? How do you handle the dinner hour?

We eat dinner between 6 and 6:30 pm almost every night. There are a few rare instances when dinner is pushed back to 7pm depending on whether or not it is taking longer to cook than I planned.

We don't really have a set time because my husband and I work nights. some days we get to eat early and go to bed early. There are other days when we work long hours during the day at home also and we eat late and get to be late also. I would love to have a set schedule but it so hard when we work nights and have to get other things done suring the day, eat and go to bed.

I can't say with precision because we don't have a established hour for dinner, even if i know that is wrong. Anyway we have dinner between 6 and 8 pm. The most times between 6 and 7, but when i am in late with cooking we have dinner even at 8 pm. We go to bed later than our son who steel eat separately by us because he is 14 months old and i cook for him different food. Only he take dinner around 6 pm.

You need the child not to be hungry at bed time. It helps if they have not eaten just before bedtime. The stomach working on food can keep a kid awake and if they've had something to drink, they might need to get up and go pee. So, the magic time for dinner with respect to bed is whatever time is needed for the kid's belly to start processing food from dinner but before they need to have another snack before falling asleep. As far as I can tell, your timeline sounds good for the reasons I've specified.

We usually eat between 6:30 and 7:00 at my university house, but when I'm at my parents' house we eat at around 5:30/6:00.

Hello dear ersmommy. As I live and work on campus, we always have an earlier dinner time. We have our dinner between 4:10 to 5:10 p.m at the school canteen. But still most of us teachers and students will have some snacks in the evening after nine.

Typically we eat right *around* 5:30. We have just moved back into our own home after 10 months of alternate living arrangements during the building process. It has been hard getting back into a routine, and we have been eating a little later than that. But 5:30 is the usual time for us. My kids go to bed later, but they are a little bit older. I think whatever works best for your family, routine, and lifestyle is what is best.

NO. My dinner time is usually sometime around 10 or 11 PM. I have late dinners cos I have a psychological problem. lol.. If I have dinner then I instantly go to sleep. and that would mean missing out on many thing. Studies, friends, movies ..etc So I like to keep it late, after all my prior commitments are done. bourne

When at home it seems to be 6pm, unless we are having take out which is generally a lot later. At uni I eat at random times, whenever I am most hungry really.
