i'm curious how much you pay every month for mobile phone bills. for example, in my country, i pay about Php1300 (philippie peso) a month for my bill. that's about 35dollars a month.. not bad huh? our charge here is as follows: Php1/sms (about $0.025) Php8/call (about $.20) Php10/30mins internet (about $0.25) then other stuff.. how about you? how much do you pay for your cellular services in your country? do you text a lot? call a lot? please share, i'm really curious about cost of living in other countries..

I actually don't have a monthly phone bill because I have a pay as you go phone. So, I only pay for it when I need it. I do have to put at least $10 every three months on it until I reach $100, then my minutes stay good for a year. I hardly ever use my phone and mostly keep it for emergencies. So, a pay as you go phone is perfect for me. I don't do any texting at all nor do I want to and only occasionally take and send pictures.

that's great, how much does a text message cost in your area.. sorry i had to ask.. because here in our country, people text all the time, more that doing phone calls.. i don't know but it seems to be easier for a lot of people.. me, i don't really call and text nowadays.. most of the time, i use my mobile phone for my laptop to connect to the net.. but before, it was addicting, like hundreds of messages a day.. or talk for hours and i mean a lot of hours on the phone.. but not anymore... by the way, here, we call pay as you go as prepaid.. ;p

I think texting is charged about 10 cents per message, but I thought I read it was 5 cents to receive and 10 cents to send. Mostly, they just take it out of your minutes. In reality, I think they actually cost more than that because whenever I have used text, it seems like they took about 25 cents out. I know with photos, they say they charge about 25 cents, but I really think it's about 40 cents.

I like the Idea of a messenger program on my phone..I was just reading about a program available for Symbian/Smartphones that enables them to Access Skype...I use Skype over my Broadband connection on my computer..a Cellphone version would be good! When you mention those Prices..Is that $20 for one phone you have ,and $35 for another,or are those combined for one phone?

wow.. that's good.. we have unlimited here also.. instant messenger like yahoo cost about Php20/day or Php100/week, so that's about $0.50/day or $2.5/wk.. the unlimited texting depends per network, usually it's about Php20/day as well but we have a service provider that lets you have unlimited texting and calls for about Php350/month, so that's about &8.75/month.. it's really cheap but the unlimited will only apply to those subscribers of the same network. for other networks, it will be regular rate..

dear posham I am from India and I use postpaid cell phone . Generally in a month I use to pay Rs.800/-i.e. US $ 20/-approx. In India call rates are more in certain areas , so it is expensive. Though I do not talk much over cell phone except emergency or urgency. The cost of sms is less in our country. In India use of cell phones have flourished tremendously . I think every Indian is having cell phone. The standard of cost of living in India is quite good. pkc3000

I have post paid, monthly bill, and it comes out to about $117 a month... I do both calling & text messaging a lot and I also access my emails through my phone... I have unlimited calling plans that includes, unlimited voice calls, unlimited text messaging, multimedia messaging, pictures & musics & stuff, then I have unlimited blackberry plan, which allows me to access internet whenever I want... Voice & messaging plan is 100 bucks & blackberry plan, which includes emails & internet, is 20 bucks... I work at a place where they give us discounts on cell. phone bills but it's not that much... Basically, that discount pays for taxes & fees, then few dollars... Cell. phone is the only phone I use, for personal & work purpose...

Yeah, it is a lot... My girl friend has the same exact plan as well... Considering we don't use the house phone, it would be even more if we had pre-paid... She had her cell. phone with same company before we met & she recently changed her plan to unlimited as well... Most of her friends have different cell. phone carrier so there's no point having mobile to mobile so she just went & got unlimited everything... That made more sense... She works for woman doctor, a gyno, & she gets calls from a lot of her patiences as well... For us, it just made sense this way...

wow, that must be nice. my average cell phone bill is 220.00 a month. if my husband calls me from overseas though our bill is usually around 400 to 600 dollars because they charge you 2.50 a minute to talk. it's ridiculous i think, but it's worth it to get to talk to him. God bless

£30 a month. I am on a contract, so I pay £30 for 200 minutes and unlimited texts. I don't call that much, I rarely use over 100 minutes, but I have the extra just in case I do. I text loads though, easily 1000 a month.
