I'm looking for the best movie you have recently watched and why? Was it funny, great acting or special effects that made the movie stand out for you? We watched The Ledgend of the Waterhorse a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty good. It was quite amusing but not really spectacular.

Hi kareng, I have been watching a lot of movies recently. I can't just name one so I'll name a few that I thought were worth recommending that I enjoyed. - Shoot em up great action movie and it stood out because this poor guy gets involved in a shoot and run story very great acting - Resident Evil 3 another great action movie that had a lot of on the edge of your seat parts - The Mist Stephan King's newest flick that had an ending you'de never forget - 3:10 to Yuma Great action Western movie that had some great actors and kept me interested throughout the whole thing - One missed call A horror movie with a great story line, sort of reminded me of The Ring just for the story an all well put together type - I am legend I thought this could actually be realistic but not to the point where you're pretty much the only person left on earth. He sure keeps himself busy though. I can't seem to think of any others that stick out in my mind right now and I know there's more but I'm drawing a blank here

Shoot em up was a good movie! Hubby enjoyed it with all the action. A little too much blood for me but the plot was different. You have a good list there!

I watched I am Legend yesterday and I have to admit I do not see where they could have made it better, but I did not like it. And it wasn't Will Smith's character either, because I think he is an exceptional actor. I can't quite put my finger on why there just was something there that seriously disturbed me other than being completely alone of Earth. But I did love the Bob Marley songs throughout the movie. Gave it a little bit of flare.

I enjoyed The Legend of the Waterhorse, but not enough to buy it. The movie watched most recently is Enchanted starring Julie Andrews, Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Susan Sarandon. This is a Disney Movie and I loved it. I would like to recommend Freedom Writers and its a 2007 movie. This movie sends a powerful message that anything is possible, if you want it to happen. Hilary Swank really plays the role of this teacher so well.

I know. A lot of people said Harry Potter movies were evil. You have to watch movies with an open mind.

I am so far behind in watching movies. The last new one I saw was Employee of The Month and it was a lot better than I expected it to be. Not exactly something for the younger kids but teens and older might get a kick out of it.

we recently redboxed the water horse too - the kids liked it. I have been buying a lot of older movies lately and I must say that I absolutely loved one called "The Kidnappers" the children actors were incredible! it is an old scottish flick (there have been remakes that do not stand up to it) anyhow these orphaned brothers had to move to their granddads home in the mountain back woods... their grandfather has a strong dislike for dutchmen - the children want a dog so badly but granddad did not let them get one - so they kidnapped a baby! one child wanted to name it rover...lol. turns out the baby belongs to the dutch family - anyhow I do not want to spoil the film for anyone interested in viewing it. it can be purchased at www.freeclassicsondvd.com (at least I think that is the name) one line has the youngest saying dont eat the babby grandfather. in his cute scottish accent.

300 was probably the best thing I've seen for a while. I didn't think I would enjoy it beforehand, but a friend convinced me it was worth watching. After the first minute I agreed and was sucked into a visually delightful treat of a movie. It's from the same team responsible for Sin City so it has a otherworldly comic book feel to it. It's very different from a lot of films I have seen but really draws you in and I got lost in the film. If you want a film to be so good it leaves you happy to have seen it, but disappointed that it's finished, this is a film to view.

I just finished watching "The Perfect Stranger" with Halle Berry and Bruce Willis. And I have to tell you that it was an excellent movie. The casting was perfect and the script was well done. And just like the jacket on the DVD says it will keep you guessing to the very end. I have not experienced that wih a movie in a long time. In fact I had become bored with a lot of the movies that Hollywood has been throwing out. What made this movie so interesting was the fact that it all tied up nicely in the end. And if you haven't seen it (don't worry I am not one of those who gives things away) pay attention to the eyes. It is very symbolic to the plot of the movie. The director is James Foley and he did a wonderful job with this film. And if you are a Berry or Willis fan you will be pleased.

The movie "21" is the best I have seen in almost a year. I like the fact that even though I am inept when it comes to math ,there are geniuses who just see number differently. It was a long movie but the acting was great and just when I thought I had the plot figured out the movie switched directions. I did come away with my mind racing due to all the adding and subtracting and the fast pace of the movie. This is a movie I will buy.

Well I'll have to name the movie I saw in the theater the most recently even though it was a little while ago. We saw Vantage Point and I just thought it was unique, thought-provoking, and suspensful. Basically in the first 10 minutes a bomb goes off and the rest of the movie repeats those 10 mins from different people's POVs until we finally figure out what happened. Very interesting!
