Howdy all, I am very proud of my friends and Mylotters. When we set out to do something for a friend it gets done. I introduced the newest Angel last week, and she now has a request of us. I know we can make this happen. here is her post and I have copied it with her permission of course, so that it might get more viewing power.. This only takes a second or two of your time, hurts nothing but your clicking finger, so please ya'll do this for the AngelWhispersssss :)))

I have a very good friend who is a finalist in a radio station competition. The prize consists of a BBQ party for 25 people, and includes:
Gift card from MM Meat Shops worth $300,
Gift Card from Safeway worth $100,
A huge 4 room tent,
6 piece patio set,
A brand new BBQ,
A digital camera,
$250 in beverages.
Now my friend has not had an easy time of it. She recently fought and won a battle with Thyroid Cancer. This wasn't easy for her, she was a single mother, and had to travel many hundreds of miles down to Vancouver for treatment. Throughout it all, she never lost hope, and she beat the disease. Since then, she has been raising money for Relay For life, in the hope that one day, this disease can be eradicated from our lives.
She recently got back together with her husband, and things are great between them. They don't have a lot of money, but they have each other, and their daughter is overjoyed at having her father back again.
I would like to ask all of you now to vote for her to win this competition. I can think of no worthier person to win this. We are able to vote for her once a day between now and the 13th of April.

OK, I did it, I voted for your girl because you asked me to. I hope I'm doing the right thing. She has an awfully cute little girl. She was at 18.1% when I voted so I really hope she wins!!!

Well, after my vote, Christine has 118 votes compared to 109 for her closest competitor. But, Angel, I didn't notice what the correct date is for the end of voting. You said April 13, but, as of May 2 we can still vote. I guess I'll just keep voting until they say it's over.

Thanks for letting us know about her...
My Sister has it too, but unfortunately they had to take her voicebox out and they are saying its in her blood and bones now. I don't know how much longer my Sister will live, but she is still a trooper and i am proud of her..she lives in Calif. and I'm in Texas so since I can't call her anymore, i write her letters.
I hope Christine got the party she deserves too!Since I hadn't seen this till today

I am sorry to hear about your sister. I lost one of my sisters 2 and half years ago. I miss her so bad. Go vote Christina spends her time raising awareness about cancer and womens issues yet needs so much herself.

I just voted. She had the number 112 under her name, I am guessing that is the number of votes? She had the most on the page I was looking at but I didn't think to look for more pages.
I will try the cookies thing.
Remind me to vote again tomorrow (or until it is over if you want) and I will! I am just forgetful sometimes!

I used to know someone named Christine Todd, too. I have a nephew who lives near 100 Mile House in BC, also.

Darlene, Actually the name sounded familar to me also, until I realized there was a Stephen king short Called Mrs Todd's short cut and her name was Christine LMAO......
You know what.... you guys are all so wonderful, I know we have our problems here in mylot, hell we fight and squabble like any family... But when some one needs something, this is where I want to be.... If it is possible at all, Mylotters get it done... I am over whelmed with pride of all of my friends and fellow mylotters.
