If myLot came to an end, what would you do with all your spare time?

I pondered this briefly the other day when I had trouble loading myLot up. I could not get on it for ages and I thought "What if this is it, no more myLot, what would I do with myself"!!
And what about the friends that I have made, I have no email addresses to stay in touch with people, so I would lose touch with a lot of the people on here that I speak to nearly everyday, people who I class as friends. It would certainly be hard to cope with for a while. For some people this place has become a big part of their lives, the place they come too to get away from the stresses and strains of everyday life, a place where they have found true friends and maybe do not have friends in their real lives, just like me!!
So what about you? What would you do? Would you be bothered or would you just shrug your shoulders and say "Oh Well?" and move on.
What would you do instead?

I know what you mean a friend was banned here on mylot and I would like to have her email address to stay in touch but I do not. I would be upset because there are a few people here that I really like and I would like to stay in touch with as well.

Honestly I'd go back doing what i was and am now.taking care of my grandchildren and giving them more time with me..I've kinda neglected them since i've been here and meeting new people. I have plenty of friends and family so its not that i need more but do Love it!

I do not even want to think about that sweety - I am going to have nightmares now! I do have some email addresses and would no doubt be able to contact friends through other friends but it would just not be the same! I am off to try and get this thought out of my mind right now! lol xxx

I do hope that this will NEVER happen... But if it does, I think I would use my spare time to create a site similar to myLot. I know I would never be able to come up with something perfectly the same as this but if it meant having to have something like myLot around, then I believe that it would be worth my time and effort creating one like this. Well, apart from that, I would have more time for my beaded accessories and other crafts. I would also have more time to read books.

Hi Rose,yes Mylot was down for quite a while,I couldnt get in either.Well you have obviously been a Mylotter for a long time.For me its just a month,and though i know lots of the names i dont know anyone inparticular.I just respond to the posts that appeal to me.But i certainly can understand where you are coming from,that you keep in contact and if Mylot were to close,where would your next site be.Well i think we would all just trawl the net until we foun a site with similarities,if thats possible i dont know.I dont fancy the facebook type things myself,and my family are members but they have all of their schol friends on there .I really ont know what i would venture to next,as many wouldnt know.

I am on facebook but only registered, not active,I do not like it. I may just take myself off there I think. I have been a member for about 4 months I think, without looking I am not sure!

Awwww... no... but if mylot will be gone, I would definitely look for other forum sites that are active... you know.. move on but I would like to keep contact to other people here that are really close to me or always here.. We are like family here... as I feel it at times. Mushy!!!

I am not sure that I would unless a friend had found a good one and wanted me to join, I think that I would just go back to all the other stuff that I used to do and now no longer seem to get time to do with coming on here!!

hm, it will be hard moment for me if mylot comes to end. but still i can't leave internet although (i hope its not) mylot going disappear someday. i will search another paid posting again although i am sure there is no paid posting forum as like mylot script.
something sure, as like you, i will loose in touch with wonderful people that i already met in mylot world

I would probably go into Mylot withdrawals. Mylot has become a part of my daily activities and apart of my life. I know that may sound sad to some, but I am a stay at home mom right now and am normally alone during the day. I come to Mylot for advice, to learn about things, and to make friends. I would be lost and upset if Mylot was to ever go away. I really don't know what I would do with the extra time I would have.

If this should happen, I guess I would not have too much spare time to ponder. Perhaps the spare time might be used to think of how to make more money via the internet. However, I guess life would be as before, no more logging to internet after office hours.

LOL...I know for a fact that I spend way too much time here....if MyLot were to disappear there would always be a lot more for me to do, just as I did prior to joining here, but my life really wouldn't be the same...I have too much fun here and know so many great people who have become my friends...I do happen to have the emails of a lot of people here..I just pm'd you leaving my email--before hanging out here all the time, I used to spend a lot of time over at the Lord of the Rings Fanatic Plaza...yikes they must wonder what the heck happened to me as I'm hardly there anymore--I'm here all the time...LOL

It will be pretty tough at first cos i have made some friends here but i just hope i will get a chance to get the phone numbers of some of my friends before that happens,but i really wouldnt like it but for sure i came in to mylot one day and if they have to close shop i believe there will be soome other things to do.

I guess you assumed that almost everybody, if not all, has mylot as their favorite leisure huh..
Anyway, me too most of the time, I'd rather spend it on mylot than roaming around in malls or somewhere outside. If there's no mylot anymore, probably I'll spent my Interent time blogging, reading, and watching videos online. That's what I usually do aside from mylotting.

if mylot goes offline then iw ould have to move on and proceed with my blogging and get into the grind of searching for a forum to discuss issues with. i do not have a spare time, i squeeze every minute with things to do and i don't ran out of things to do.

At first I think I scurry to the ones that I have their address and see if I can get the addresses of those who I don't have their address so I can keep in touch everyone once in a while and then I would continue to work on my short stories since I would have more free time. LOL!!! I know I know I have some to finish up for you guys. But very interesting question. Have a nice one hun
