I see teens running around with not a care in the world. And they are having so much fun. I regret not being wilder in my younger days. So much I never tried, so much I could have done and didnt. I miss fun. Kids only live once.

Trust me some day you will wish you had done more while your young. Dont think of it as regret-more of a way of learning. Not to mention the stories and laughs you will have one day when you look back. What kinds of things do you wish you could do now? If your conscience says dont do that-dont do it. At least you will know you thought about it but thought better not too-that isnt a regret. I know being shy is hard. I was even picked on in school. If I had stood up to those people I would probably feel better about myself now. I am 40, I cant go back. Your only young for a little while and then its over. I could tell you what you'll have to look forward to when your older but its too depressing. Hugs.

Oh, I don't really have a list of stuff I want to do.. I just want to live more. I don't feel like I'm living my life to the fullest and I want to be.

Yes. I wish that I would have stopped settling for less than what I deserve in my life. I have taken what was given to me even though I knew i deserved better. Life is a daily struggle and I feel alone it the world because I live my life mainly by myself because no one in my life can relate to me.

We seem to have some things in common. I always wanted a sister I dont suppose your close to Missouri? I do feel alone even with people around me. I definatly dont relate to my hubby. Not sure what to do about it but keep going.

The way I look at things is that no one ever gets to do everything they want to do in life, so I don't feel bad because I haven't done all the things I didn't do before. I mean, I couldn't be a veterinarian (my childhood dream) because I have severe allergies to animals, it would have been impossible. So, I just move on and try to have other goals. There are things we just can't do for whatever reason and there's no reason to regret not having done them. I feel I've done the best I possibly could in my life with the abilities that I have and that's fine with me.

I feel bad that you think that way. All I can say is to do the best you can with what you have right now and forget about the past. You can't do anything about that, but you can do something about what you are doing now for the future.

Thank you for your advice. Perhaps something will change. The waiting is the hardest part. And I have no patients-LOL

You have a reason why you couldnt do something. And that is easier to change. Thats life isnt it? I'm not happy with my life-and there is no way to change it. Unless I won the powerball tongitht-yeah like that will happen. I dont like where I see my future going. So I regret not doing something about it sooner. Had I known 20 years ago what I know now-everything would be differnt.

I remember a line from the old classic movie, "It's a Wonderful Life". When George Baily and Mary were walking down the street talking and that old man yells out the window for him to kiss her. He grumbles to himself, "Youth is wasted on the young." How true, how true.

I love that movie. Hubby watches it every Christmas a couple of times at least. I work with teens at my job and I see them having so much fun. I miss it alot.
