Have you ever bought a cd just for one song?

I recently bought a cd on amazon, and it came today. I was looking for which cd had the song I wanted. When I found it, I went ahead and ordered the cd. Luckily, I liked all of the songs on it when I listened to it. If I wouldn't have liked any of them, though, it would still have been worth buying the cd. Have you ever done this?

Yes, I have done it a few times. Each time it paid off! I think people should try it, too.

Yes, I've sometimes bought an entire album because of one song. But, when I had it, I realized there were several songs that I liked that I didn't know what the names of them are. And, usually, I end up liking all the other songs that are on that album, too, even if I've never heard to them before. Generally, if I like the group, I'll probably like the entire album.

Yes, me too. I already had one of his cd's, and I really enjoyed it, so I knew I'd like the rest of the cd.

Yes, I have. But I always explore the CD to see if I like any of the other songs, If I don't I keep listening to it. Because I mean, you spend the money to buy it so get what you can out of it. It's rather pointless to just buy and listen for one song each time you want to hear it.

I used to many years ago when they stop selling singles here. If it was someone I liked, that wasn't a problem. But now and then a song would come out from an artist I didn't like and I ended up buying the CD. After awhile I had several CDs that I didn't like and were taking up room so I sold them. Now it's easy to get just that one song because of iTunes and things like that so I no longer have to buy a CD I don't want.

I can't believe you liked all the songs on the CD! I have bought CDs for one song and the one song is the only song I liked! I like shopping on Amazon too.

I knew I liked the artist, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it. But sometimes I get a cd from an artist I like, and I don't like it at all. Thanks for responding.

In the past I used to. That was back when I didn't have the internet or a computer. I was always buying CDs then only listening to one, two, or three songs on it. I haven't purchased any CDs in years though.

I have bought cd''s just for one song, and ended up loving the whole cd. Other times I didn't like any of the other songs. But still loved listening to the cd.

Yeah, this had happened to me once few years back. I purposely bought the cd just for one song which my niece was going to sing in the school concert. She didn’t have any confidence to sing the song nicely. To help her, I had to learn the song first before assisting her how to present well on the stage.

Yes I have bought a record or a cassette just for one song. But unlike you, I Only played the song I bought the record for.I still haven't heard the rest of the album.

I bought the first Tractors cd for the song Baby Likes To Rock It. The rest of the cd was kind of horrid.

yes, i have, a looong time ago... and to tell u the truth, i really don't plan on doing that ever again...especially with all the new things that r out, with like limewire, u don't gotta buy cd's anymore, so much more convenient to just find the song individually and downloading it

Yes, I have done this several times. There were instances when I got frustrated because the other songs were not really good. But there were also times when the other songs in the album were worth the money. What I have been doing lately was to listen to the songs online and read reviews about certain albums before I buy them.

I nearly bought a CD before just for a song that I really want. But after some months I found out that I don't really have to buy it anymore. I want it but I really don't need it anyway.

I used to, but I'd rather buy compilation CDs. All the best songs of the 80s! I actually haven't bought a CD in awhile.

I have done this alot of times because a single was not available. I hate to have to buy a CD like that though because most of the time, I do not like the other songs that are on there and I always have to search for the one that I do like that I bought it for.

I, too, have done this before quite a few times. However, I feel it gives me a chance to explore the album a little more and discover new songs and new favorites. That is what makes it all worth it for me as I am always open to discovering new music. I have found it to be a very good means of learning more about the artist's work and also discovering songs you would not otherwise have known about. Of course, other times, you buy the album with high hopes for the rest of it and wind up only liking that one song you bought the album for, but luckily that has not happened to me that I can recall - I guess I just love music too much for that!

yes, I did once or twice. I really like one song so I bought a CD just to have a copy of it. Fortunately, I get to like the other songs in that CD. Atleast, most of them. Cheers!
