Well I had initially planned to do a lot today...wanted to continue my spring cleaning project--yup, still doing that, plus maybe rattle out an article or two, and of course catch up on MyLotting, especially since if anyone noticed, last night MyLot was down for a long time so couldn't do anything. Well all that is out the window..why? Before I went to sleep last night, I started to feel that familiar twinge in my right hand...it kept me awake most of the night and into the morning..carpal tunnel--ouch!!! I haven't had a bout of that in ages and forgot how not only painful it is, but incapacitating it is..as it is, as I write this I'm doing so with just one hand and so slowly to be pathetic. NUTS! I'm still going to try and do some MyLotting but it's going to be at such a slow pace now--I'm used to typing fast..sheesh So did you ever have a lot planned and then something came up, like unexpected PAIN, injury. whatever? Hey the good news though is for the first time in ages don"t have my pain in my feet or ankle joints...gee, it transfered to my hand instead

Ouch! My mom and sister had carpal tunnel surgery. For some reason my mom's scar healed really well, but my sister's scar really didn't. My carpal tunnel is not that serious, but I really should buy those supportive braces. I should, but doing is a different matter. Yeah, I had plans today that I had to rearrange. I was supposed to go to Tulsa with my parents to be with my sister and grandma for Mother's Day lunch. We were going to leave right after church. Well yesterday I woke up with a back that I really thought was going to put me in the ER. Instead I'm just using my cane, but I couldn't go with them today. I wanted to, but the left side of my body, from the middle of my back all the way down my leg, is saying something different, lol.

Yeah, it is sciatica. It was so much better when I could afford to go to the chiropractor. My doctor said don't life anything over 5 lbs. Gee, that will be so easy. I'll just hire a butler. Do you think they would work for ramen noodles?

You are not the only one. I am sleeping day and night for last few days. It seems like my body has difficult time changing time zone again. I have so much to do, but I have to slow down.... I let my body to relax more than ever. And I don't feel guilty....

Don't ask how late I got up today....so much later than normal, had my two kitties curled up next to me keeping me company the whole time, think they could tell something was with their mom...either that or they were annoyed I didn't fed them at the regular time..LOL

Over the course of time my plans have changed more often than the daily news and as far as going out anywhere, my knees go out more often than I do. I fortunately do not suffer from carpel tunnel syndrome because I make sure I sleep with straight wrists to relieve the tension and I take extra vitamin E. If by chance my wrists start to ache then I sleep with braces on them. I find it much better to never make plans because it is merely an invitation for something unconventional to take place to change them. I believe in fate and therefore don't flaunt it.

For me, the extra B6 and Magnesium seems to help. I do remember buying elastic wrist guards that had copper woven in, looked like the things athletes wear, and I wore those during the day. I was also able to get a set of wrist guards to wear at night that velcroed on, and had magnets in them. Both of those were, I believe, through Dr. Leonard's Catalogue. I had some hand stretches that I got online that also helped.

To quote you..."my knees go out more often than I do. .." Love that and how true that can be--don't know what triggered the carpal though..probably lifted something the wrong way

I did notice that myLot was down for a bit last night, but I was ok as it went off just before I took the kids upstairs to get them ready for bed and by the time that I got back downstairs it was back on again!! What is carpal tunnel? I have never heard of that. Do you write a lot of articles then? The only time that I ever had a lot planned to have it ruined was my holiday last year, I was really looking forward to it, then 2 weeks before I was called in to have my hysterectomy!! Blow, what bad timing was that, but I had it, went on holiday and could do nothing but take it easy. The worst was missing out on going on the theme park rides.

What is carpal tunnel...very long involved explanation..here's a link that describes it though http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/carpal_tunnel/detail_carpal_tunnel.htm This seems to be a more common "ailment" with people who do a lot of typing on a computer keyboard, but can be triggered off by any real repetitive action using ones hands including housework, sewing, etc--It is painful though, but I've been using my old time cure for it and it worked and I'm back in action again...LOL Yup, do a lot of articles..in fact I just finished one earlier tonight, and hope to get more done tomorrow Yikes that really was rotten timing to get a hysterectomy..were you expecting to have one at all???

in your written dear, you give good news to us that you don't have any pain in your feet or ankle joints however, due to your condition at this moment, i would like to suggest you not too force your self to write anything in mylot. if you need rest a while then you should do that, otherwise you will have worse condition which make you not able to stay in touch with mylot which you don't want to have those condition, right? i am just like you but i also realize when i need time to rest from mylot then i will do that although its little bit hard to do

Yes, I noticed myLot was down last night. I have had a few rather busy days, and yes, I have had things or people come along and change my plans. When my doctor was saying I had carpal tunnel, because my symptoms were "classic" I never did believe him. I think it gradually got better and went away, but I remember it hurting so much it woke me up, which of course made the pain more intense, because you do hurt more when you are sleep deprived. I hope you find some remedies that are effective for you, and I hope the pain in your feet stays away. I bought the paraffin bath when my symptoms were the worst, and I believe it was a sound investment. I would dip my hands and then put the wraps over them and fall asleep almost instantly, even if that was not what I intended, but the relief was so great. I a sure the lavender and tea tree oil contributed to the relief as well. I will try to answer discussions as you post this evening.

I am in so much pain that I can hardly move now, so much for mylotting or anything else. This fibromyalgia is really getting to me. I have no life anymore.

Oh sounds painful, I've known a couple of people who have suffered from it and I know they had extreme pain from it! I've got a problem hernia that's been given me lots of stomach aches, I went away for the weekend over Easter and spent most of the time in bed having this pain! It's so annoying! I'm dong some spring cleaning at the moment, well it started out sorting out my daughters bedroom after she moved out and now I'm going through the house! Good news about no pain in feet or ankles, hopefully your wrists will start to ease soon!

That sucks, being in pain is never any fun, once in awhile my wrist will act up if I put to much strain on it. And yes many times I have had to change my plans, and I hate that when it happens, but I've gotten used to it, I guess.

Hi There, I have t osay, every time I plan to sit down and do some writing or mylotting, something always comes up. It is not usually associated with pain or anything like that, but always distracts me from what I planned to do. Usually it has to do with the kids or other obligations. Oh well...life goes on... :) cheers,

Hi pyewakcet! Oh sorry to hear that. A cousin of mine has carpal tunnel and tells me that it is really painful. There are times that I do have something really planned out for the day and something would hinder me from doing it on schedule. Once, I have a day planned for a whole day of mylotting and I already have all my food and snacks near me as I am trying to see if how many I can make for the day since nobody will be disturbing me. But just before lunch and three hours of being infront of the computer, guests came by one by one and I just couldn't believe it is happening. As one guest leave, another will be ringing the door bell. Oh, I was really tempted not to answer the door. It was the first time that I never ran out of guests for that day until just before dinner. By the time my last guest left, hubby came home and ask how did my mylotting went. Geez! Perfect! haha.. Take care and happy mylotting. God bless!

I hope to get spring cleaning done soon myself! Instead I just went to a Historic site with my son and wife. It was nice and peaceful and we enjoyed it. Then we grabbed a bite to eat and a ice cream. Was a very relaxing day in the country.
