We are a very computer oriented family. My husband has one up in his home office. I have one in my home office. My two older kids each have their own, and we have a lap top, which I am typing on now at the kitchen table.

I'm sure this avoids a lot of arguments about who gets to use the computer lol!

We have two desktops, one in the living room and one here in our bedroom. We cannot afford a laptop yet so I just bring a thumbdrive if I need to present something in school or if I need to print pictures.

Our computer is in our bedroom on a really nice computer desk. This is really the only place that we can put it for now. When we get a bigger house we will most likely put it in the living room.

Hey there! I used to have my computer in a large room at the far end of the house. The room was supposed to serve as a computer room/game room/library/sewing room (the sewing room part was a little area off in the corner away from everything else). But that arrangement didn't prove to be terribly user friendly. I found out the hard way that if the computer stayed in that room, the amount of time I could be on the computer every day was terribly limited. Either that, or I'd have to do everything in the wee hours and sacrifice sleep to get anything done. So I decided to move the computer into the main part of the house. Right now, it's on a desk at one end of the sitting room. It's much better having it here as I can be where all the action is during the day and still get things done periodically while being able to keep an eye on everything else going on. My poor laptop doesn't see the outside world as much as I thought it would. I haven't had it that long and am therefore not used to being able to rely on it instead of the desktop. I'm trying to get more in the habit of using it though. But for now, it spends more time in its carry-bag than it does on getting used. My ultimate goal though, is to get more accustomed to using the laptop throughout the day. Then the desktop can get moved back into the library/etc. room and I can get rid of the desk in the sitting room.

My computer is in the living room, but I think I have had it in every room we got. I just didn't like being in the back of the house and not being able to see what was going on out front. Part of the time I am here by myself. I would really like to get a lap top,my computer has seenit's better days so looking to buy one soon.

Goodness it looks as if you are already on your second page of responses with this one. Mine is on a desk in my living room, but currently I am responding to this discussion on your grandma's pc in her bedroom while I watch Sophia! Hope to be able to get a lap top sometime in the near future.

I want to move mione into the living room. But with dad being here it makes it difficult due to him using a walker etc. Not enough room for him to get around if my desk was there as well. I have an aopen area near a window that would be perfect but alas...... HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My computer is located in my dining room area. I have a table and chairs in my dining room along with a corner stand with a lamp on it. I also have a desk in that same area. I recently bought me a new keybpard and mouse and I can sit at my table and work now instead of being stuck at my desk. I have a desktop computer only. I like to visit Mylot and a whole lot of other sites that pay me. they are all free and easy to do but I make sure to come to Mylot daily also.

I have mine in my bedroom right now but will be moving it soon. I brought it up here because it was always too cold this winter to sit down stairs. Now that is warm it will go back down stairs to a room I use as my office.

Yes, not much strain on the eyes, as PC is always well lit. I have to switch on the lights only in the evenings.

My PC is located in an alcove, alongside my husband's computer directly beside my living room and studio. It is located very conveniently for me! Perhaps it is located too well for extremely easy access. It is actually quite difficult for me to stay away from computer, at times!

Hi there, my computer is also located in the living room. In a nice little corner where I have everything conveniently stored for usage on my computer. I am hoping to soon buy myself a laptop. A best friend is a dealer of them so he is gonna give me a special package/price. I'm so happy...now all I need is the money to purchase one

My computer is located in a grey leather bag by the front door. LOL It's a laptop, and I rarely use it at home, since I don't have the internet at home. I like the wireless at the cafe, much better, so I leave my computer packed and ready for me to take up there to work.

My computer (desktop) is located inside my bedroom. Not a very suitable place, I think. Because I don't have any roomate, I guess it could be just fine to be that way. However, confined room without any table fan or ceiling fan, or aircorn ... my room can turned into the desert. My computer generate so much heat, make me feel so hot!

I only have a desktop computer. My husband's friend gave us his old computer a couple of months ago, so now we have to computers. We keep them in our extra bedroom that we use as an office. We couldn't put either of them in our living room because I think that it would make the living room to crowded.

I know about crowed, the only reason why the laptop is normally in the living room is because normally I can just move it really easisly. I also like it because I can watch tv, and see what else is going on around the house If I need too! Thanks for your comment!
