gitfiddleplayer made the "could you live without TV for a month," and i responded to that. I was wondering, could anyone live without Internet access for a month? I don't think i could- i need it for research, news when I'm not at a TV, and for other, personal uses. How about you?

I could do without the internet for a period of time. It's just like tv; as long as i have a book to read i'm good and can do without the net.

Yes, if I am on a vacation and have fun lol. That have happened to me a few times now, and I could go to internet cafe or something like that, but I did not and have not used internet for 2 months. I think that's the longest period without internet acess since I was 9 years old lol

I have done it, while on vacation. I miss it, but once I get into what I am doing, I forget about it. If it went away, I would adjust, but since it's here, I like doing it. It's fun, I learn many things, meet people, earn money, and other stuff.

Yes, but not for long. I cruise and do not keep my smartphone on while on the ship, so when we are at sea I check my email about once a day. This way I do not have gazillion emails when I come back.I can also check with my phone in port. Plus in my business even though I work with a partner, who covers for me when I am gone (and vica versa) we can keep each other up to date via the internet.

I don't have a problem living without the TV for awhile but I draw the line on living without the internet for awhile. I admit I'm pretty addicted which is bad but unlike some people I know, I can get away from my computer and actually do productive things. It's just I do enjoy my time online and like getting on when I don't have much of anything else to do.

i think i can. i worked at japan for six months. although i can speak a little of their language i am scared to go inside internet shops for i know that their computers are all in japanese writtings. i know that when i look at the monitor and at the keyboard it will all be in japanese character. i just call home everytime i need to talk to them. it is more expensive to call than to chat, for in caht you can view them but i exsisted there just calling them and not able to see them.

I'd never owned a television until earlier this year and if it wasn't for the fact that my gf likes CSI and other progs, i could quite happily have not bothered getting one at all. My PC is my entertainment and i've done online gaming as a release, but its now more a case of i use it because its there. If it wasn't there i wouldn't have the option. I enjoy creating stuff with my PC so i'm happy enough using the PC without Internet. That aside i'd struggle at work on the web-design front ;) To go without the PC altogether might be a challenge for me, although under some circumstances i'd be fine (i.e. long-distance trek, or back to basics living in a remote place).

I think I would literally go crazy without the internet. I live in a small town so it is basically my only connection to the outside world. It is where I get my new, do my research, and do most of my socializing.

hi evil. i think i can. i mean if the situation calls for it. of course, i've gone at least a week without internet when i go on vacation. you wouldn't believe how much hotels charge for internet use? anyway, remembering the old adage that absence make the heart grow fonder, i think a break from the internet once in awhile will do us good. just my thought.

I could, but I wouldn't like it. I get online as often as I can and use if for alot of different things. I do think that I would be alot more active than I am now if it wasn't for internet though.

well...i think i could live without it for that long...after i went through a month of withdrawls and shakes and...aw who am i kidding. if i were to lose my internet i would just simply go to the library and use thiers. i love the library. but seriously i would never let that happen...there would always be internet anywhere that i lived.
