Hello All, When I was a kid we would drag the quilts and rugs to be aired and the house would be scrubbed from top to bottom. This was done spring and fall. Do you spring clean? xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

I have done quite a lot of it today sis , I have been on Amotryptoline since Jim was ill and between that and worrying about Mum and Dad I just have wanted to sleep and felt so tired for so long , I stopped taking them 3 days ago and I have found some of my old energy ( I hope it lasts) I have been cleaning all day . I am exhausted now lol and have just taken 2 pain killers for my RA, but it feels so good to have it done xx

weemam, I hope you did not just stop your med cold turkey. Than can be bad for you. I am glad that you feel able to discontinue it, and I do hope you are successful with the change.

You know, alot of people have abandoned this practice, but I DO still sprin clean. and I also do a Fall cleaning. I scrub down the baseboards in the rooms, move the couches and clean behind those, steam clean the carpets (have dogs) and..generally, clean out the old clothes and get ready to get new ones to replace the ones that don't fit right anymore or that are worn-out. Even clean all of the house windows and make sure any cobwebs are cleaned out! I go room to room, have the kids (grown now, but they still help) give a hand and.it's only twice a year and keeps things clean, so it seems like a good idea still! Yup! We stil do that here!

Yes I do spring clean, its nice to be able to open the doors and windows and let the air blow thru. Thats the time to do the deep cleaning, move things around, get behind things, wash curtains, windows, etc.

Spring cleaning is a tradition here practised by people of different race. Most people will start to clean, throw and replace items - all before the new year begins.

I try to do what I call a deep cleaning every spring and then again before Thanksgiving. I clean the carpets, not just vacuum. Wash the light fixtures. Clean the blinds and curtains. Wash windows. The kind of stuff that doesn't need to be done every day, but still needs done or it gets filthy. I'm glad I got it done already this year. It makes me tired just thinking about it.

I don't do a thorough, top-to-bottom spring cleaning, but I think doing some cleaning is a good idea. There are summer/spring items to be brought out of storage and readied for use, and winter/cold weather things to be prepared for storage. And lots of dust to be cleaned up!

I used to but the last few years I have been sliding. I try through out the winter to go through one room at a time thoroughly since I don't like to go out in the cold and don't have to since I'm not taking kids here and there and am retired so I don't have to go out to go to work. I do still wash windows every spring though.

We clean the house weekly.Since we don't have four seasons in our country, perhaps we clean the house when it was springtime in your country.

Sure I do! Usually once a year, come the new year time, we will force ourself to clean up the place a bit more... thoroughly. But on and off, I do e.g. vacuum the place a bit and make sure the place stays relatively fit to live in. Cheers!

we do spring cleaning just before chinese new year. we turn the whole place over and clean like crazy. it's like a customs to ensure that the place is absolutely clean for the festive. we'd get new bedsheets and stuff for the place as well. we'd also take the opportunity and throw out old furniture that's beyond repair. of course we'd repair those that can be repaired. sometimes we'd even give the walls a new coat of paint.

Hi There, Yes I spring clean. In fact, I have spent basically all day spring cleaning today. It has taken me since I first woke up this morning. I usually go room by room, but at this point I feel like I have not even made a dent in anything yet. My whole day has been spent cleaning my garage! cheers,

I don't do the traditional spring clean but every once in a while no matter what time of year it is I will completely blitz a room from top to bottom and sort all cupboards and things out. I don't think I would have enough energy to do the whole house at once. Ellie :D

I go on big cleaning spurts from time to time. I never grew up in a house where we did spring cleaning. I am down one job right now, so I will be cleaning a lot when I get back from this little trip. The biggest cleaning spree I went on lately was when I got my Basic H2. It worked so well I found myself washing and scrubbing places I have not washed and scrubbed in years. I do air blankets and quilts and wash them in the spring and early summer. Wish me luck. My attitude is needing to be spring cleaned as well.

We do a week version of spring cleaning. We never have time to fully scrub anything so we get as much as we can. I wish I could do it sometimes.

We did this twice a year when I was growing up. Now, I pick a room each month and give it a good top to bottom cleaning. That way it does not feel like I am trying to take on the whole house at once.
