Do you wait or walk for a spot?

When going to a mall or a store or anywhere with a parking lot, do you wait for a good spot close to the door, or do you just park and walk what ever distance is necessary? For me it depends on the weather. If the weather is really nice I will take a far space and walk. If it is really cold or rainy, I will wait for a close spot. Not so much for me, but I have a little one.

I grab the first one available as in some busy places its impossible to get a good spot. Getting the first one available usually saves me a lot of time.

It does save time not to wait. But I don't like to freeze or get wet, but if conditions are good I will just park.

I grab a spot way at the outer edge of the lot and walk. I can't be bothered to wait for a "good spot." I can be in and out of the store in the time it takes some people to find a place to park.

That is very likely true.

Most of the time, I'll drive for a bit until I found a spot. I don't really mind parking farther away, and walking to the store, unless I'm extremely tired or if the weather is bad. But, I don't stay on one spot and wait until someone vacates an area. I think I'm wasting my time doing that. Might as well get some exercise by taking a short walk.

I almost always walk from a spot, especially if it's busy. I don't like to deal with parking hassles and sometimes I will park far away to avoid them. The only problem that I have is that the longer I am out walking around the lot, the more likely I am to become a victim of crime. I've come across some really strange people while walking to my car from businesses and it's kinda scary.

If I am in a neighborhood I don't feel comfortable in I will park as close as possible. When I was in college, and I had to walk around at night I had my pepper spray in my hand as I walked.

As much as I need to park and walk I wait for a parking place. If it is really busy and I don't see anything in a couple of rounds through the parking lot I will park and walk.

I will usually walk unless the weather is really bad or I am very tired. I need the exercise so alittle parking lot exercise doesnt bother me at all. Sometimes it gets really hot here in the summer and I dont like to walk in a hot parking lot.

I park as far away as I can. It counts as exercising when I walk back and forth from the store to the car at a fast pace. Two weeks after I bought a new Z28 Camaro, I parked it in Lowe's. When I came out, there was a huge gouge in the rear bumper. It looked like someone backed into it with a ladder! Sob. I park my Jeep in the north forty, hoping no one will swing by it with a ladder. So far, so good.

I usually will park and walk if i have to. But i've stalked shoppers that i see exiting to see where they're parked,if it's up close then i wait.

I am pretty lazy, so I always try and find a close spot. Or I try to find a spot that is about to be empty. However, I am impatient, so I will not wait longer than a couple of seconds. So usually I end up walking.

i have gained quite a bit of pounds because of the laziness and resting periods at home so i try to lose them by doing whatever exercise i can.so i make sure that i park the car a little far away from the place i actually want to go and i walk the rest of the distance.i feel it is a good exercise because of the lifestyle we have these days in metroplitans!

In case I need to meet up with my friends at the mall, I can't stay in one corner unless I'm in a coffee shop and drinking mocha frap while waiting for them. Or I could be in a couch having a good read. But in most cases, I usually stroll and go to boutiques and check on their items though I'm not really into window shopping so I don't get to enjoy doing it that much. Good thing, my friends don't make me wait that long. heheh.. :)

I will drive around once looking for a good spot, and park in the best one I can get without waiting. Usually it is only a few spots away from where someone else is camped out, waiting for a mom to load 3 kids and a stroller into a minivan, and when I am at the door of the store, they are still waiting! I do not understand why people would rather wait than walk an extra 20 feet.
