Well it's been really cold here in Minnesota getting down into the low 40's at night. My plants are all stunted and slow to bloom etc. Well the other day weeding my strawberry patch I finally saw some blossoms. There's a lot of them too so I will have a lot more berries than last year. They haven't flowered yet but the white buds are there. Just wanted to share my excitement was all. Yummy yummy strawberries AGB. Now you really are out to tease me! lol If I come for a bbq I want some strawberries too - only thing is by the time i have finished eating all your goodies I will be too heavy and they won't let me on the plane home! xxxx

That is great to hear! My one strawberry plant is budding with two baby strawberries now. I did have one that was ready to pick but was unable to get out there and now it's ruined. But the good thing is that school is out and I am not working so I will have time to work on the garden.

Near 70 today here. It's ben in the 40's at night so not too bad for the plants. They survive. But if it gets near freezing the the tarp and burlap bags come out to cover the tomoatoes etc.

That is excellent. It would be very nice to grow a lot of strawberries, it has been really cold here, and it has been difficlt to get anything planted. It is suppossed to a lot nicer tomorrow so I will get some things in the ground tomorrow.

I have a lot planted. In Minnesota I started planting late April for the colder plants and Early May for most other things. Just planted a few things 2 weeks ago at the latest. I have maybe 25 strawberry plants I think. They spread like crazy.

Send some cool breeze here ok..really need it with along hot summer still ahead...
Haven't seen any flowers yet on my strawberries but hope soon after a rain we had giving them a nice bath away from hose water

I water all my veggies, fruits, and flowers daily.
That's one reason they seem to grow so well each year.

Congrats on the first buds, Grandpa Bob. -pops a small strawberry in her mouth- mmmmmm....maybe I shouldn't tell ya what is ripening in my patch.

I want an ice cream maker but we usuallt eat ice cream novelties like sanwiches, drumsticks,fudgecicles etc.
