HI All, I dont have credit card but sometimes i feel i should have. My friend has one but he has lot of outstanding amount and he is just repending for this. he didnt paid the amount on time and the interest is eating his head as well as his salary. Thats why i felt i should not have a credit card. what do you think? But when i was hospitalised i felt i should have instead of begging in front of anyone else. Credit card should only be used in emergency not for the enjoying. what do you think?

Credit cards can be beneficial when you need them. They key is to not abuse your card. Don't get carried away with spending and try to keep you balance low. This can trememdously help your credit if your paying on time. For example if you get a card and just use it to fill up your tank once a month, then pay that balance off when you get the bill. If you're interested in looking at cards this is a good site, they have over 100 cards to choose from no matter your credit. Maybe you can find something you like. http://morecreditoptions.NewCreditApplications.com

Credit cards are fine if you have the will power not to abuse them. Otherwise the system is designed to get you into more trouble than it's worth. Only you know where you are and what your will power is. If you don't know then don't try. Just stay away.

Having a credit card demands great discipline -- a credit card holder is surely doomed without that discipline. How do you see yourself as a credit card holder? If you can positively see yourself with it, better go for it. A Credit card (that is, credit card with available funds) can be quite useful in times of emergencies. I have only one credit card and it is set with low credit limit. Also, it was availed through a different proccess. From my savings account, a certain amount was enrolled to a time deposit account and just eighty percent of which was set to be my credit limit. So, in a way, I can say that I am a safe from being buried to too much credit bills. By the way, the main reason why I decided to get a credit card was to facilitate my online transactions. By means of that same card, I was able to get verified membership at Paypal. And now, though I'm using it for some other pusposes, I have never been charged of any interest yet. Well, it's simply a matter of proper scheduling so I always get the maximum advantage from my credit card. It's like getting a 55-day loan at 0% interest. More than that, I enjoy various freebies from credit card promos. Isn't it nice to have one for youself, too?

I think you use it for an emergency but also you need to be sure you can pay back what you owe otherwise you could possibly get hit with interest rates owing a lot more than you had anticipated. They can be handy but if you don't have discipline and go on a spending spree, then it wouldn't be good to do so.

I personally feel they are dangerous. if you are good with your finance and think you can handle it well then thats fine. if you are not good with your finances it can go out of hand. you can over spend and then have a major proble, I would just stay away from credit cards.

it can be a good or bad thing depending on the person who use it... if the person can manage the money properly and make sure that he/she will pay the balance on time every month, then credit card is a good thing... you can earn points that can be exchanged for gifts and you have up to 55 days to pay back the balance... i use my credit card to pay for almost all my bills and daily expenses... but i always make sure that i will have the money to pay it back... otherwise, i won't use it... cash is much more safer though as it will ensure you that you won't spend on something that you don't have the money for... take care and have a nice day...

Credit card is really good....but only along with the debit card. As long as u have enough money paying the debts back, it is suggestible to have n use the credit card.To say u with a quote, too much is very bad, but nothing is good, proper usage of anything anytym is worthy, use money wisely, to b out of troubles.

Hello yogeshdhusa, Having credit card has so much advantage as long as you know how to discipline yourself! When you are sure that you can handle it perfectly and more responsible, I would say, get one! I had my credit card when I used to work and I don't ignore my responsibility to pay it during due date for I know in the end, i will be the one to suffer if I will be escaping some payments but there are really moment that I will be shopping for no reason!

In a time of real need yes its ok ,but the interest is so darn hight that its almost silliness to use it too much, but the problem is that when folks get short of money thsat sometimes itds the only thing that they have to turn to.But paying bills and shopping with using credit is a very bsad thing.

Well actually it depends on the card holder. If a card holder can handle his leisure or any other monetary temptation then its an advantage towards him. I believe that credit cards should not be taken for granted. It should be known as an asset not a liability. I agree with you that it should be used for emergencies and not for pleasure.

Credit cards can be a good thing, especially if you'd like to shop online. I use a pre-paid credit card from Everywherepay and my wife uses one from Green Dot. The best thing about these is they can be used anywhere a regular credit card can be used and you can only spend the amount of money that the card holds. No interest payments, no worrying about over-spending with the ease of a CC :)

A credit car can be both good and bad for you. I guess it all depends on how you manage your bills and your level of discipline. Credit card companies earn when you do not pay your bills in full and on time- this is when your aer charged with high interest rates. I have had first hand experience with this but am happy to say that i have overcome this problem. i do still keep 1 credit card with me though but mostly for online purchases such as airline tickets. i am very careful of how i use it because it is very tempting to use it for shopping! i also make sure that bills are paid on time.

My hubby acquired a credit card last year. Actually, he didn't really get one because he wanted to. But his co-worker hounded him for days to get one, as it is free. No payments to be made, no mountain of papers to be signed. So, he got one and another supplementary card for me. We both agreed not to use the cards EXCEPT FOR EMERGENCY reasons only. But our garden badly needed a mower. And I saw one at the mall. But I thought about it over a million times before deciding to use the card. So, I bought the mower, used the card, and waited for the problem to arrive. And the statement arrived the next month, with a staggering interest. Plus another amount that we have to pay. To end the story short, we took care of the interest, paid our credit and called the bank to say we're cancelling the accounts. Credit cards have their advantages. As you have said, it can be used for emergency reasons. But sometimes the lure of using the cards is just too tempting. Before you know it, you had it swiped so many times you've lost count. Then, all you can do is wait for the statement to arrive your doorstep and be knocked off your feet by the large amount of interest you have to pay. You have to ask yourself if you really need one. And if you do need one, are you capable of paying the interest? Hope you can think it over and decide on what's best.

I dont own a credit credit card because i dont think i can trust myself on using it wisely. Credit card turn out to be good if a person is capable on paying the expenses. But it turn out to be bad it a person dont know how to control his/her urge to spend on something that not important.

Credit Card is a Two Edged Sword. One has to have control over his spending habits to make it look good. Banks and others want people to buy from the Credit card so that add extra money on it and make profits. This way the encourage people to use CC's and that's a bad news for all the people who cannot hold on their reins. The shop till they drop and then complain about how the banks are looting them with the credit card charges. They have to think before they lose control about their chances of paying the cost before they start making purchases. bourne

Hi yodeshdhusa, credit cards are very good when you know how to handle your spendings very well. Credit cards give you a lot of convenience by not carrying cash when you need to purchase. You can also use it during emergencies. Just be responsible enough and disciplined enough to track all your spendings and be prepared to pay your bills in full timely so you won't incur interests and penalties. I have been using credit cards for years and I didn't had a problem with credit cards. You just need to take advantage of them. Another thing I like about credit card, you get to purchase items and pay them in installment plan without additional interests. You just need to pay the monthly dues of your purchase. Plus some credit companies gives you rewards points for every amount you spend. Credit card however will turn your financial into a disaster when you don't know how to handle your spendings and you just swipe your cards for every item that you like. Don't live like a millionaire buying for things that you don't really need with your credit cards. Credit cards are good when you know how to manage your spendings and it's bad when you don't. Have a great day my friend!

hey, my friend, every coin has two sides, so it depends. If you use creidt card appropriately, and also pay money back in time, it's just fine, credit card can help you cope with daily economic burdens. But when you overtake the money which almost surpass the extent of your economic ability, well then, you are in trouble, the interest will roll bigger and bigger as snowball, afterall, your rest of life could be in great debts. So get a credit card, form a good habit, and also make sure your requirements to materials have been controlled appropriately.
