Well after a lot of work all weekend and the high damagaing winds here in Minnesota my Lily bed out front looks a whole lot better now. I am down to just one HUGE hosta left in this bed and have maybe 20 Lilies of 2 varieties here now. I added the mulch as well finally. Some of the Lilies are really leaning over and a copuple broke at the base due to 65 MPH winds over the weekend but they all survivied. Now I can't wait for them to open. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yeah they were some crazy winds. The storm just grazed us and the wind was bad enough. But our lilies survived. When will they flower?

Now I know where you have been.I am sure that you have had your hands full cleaning and rearranging in your yard. From the title of the discussion I thought you might have a new avatar.

I would love to get outside more often but the dang little yellow bugs tear me up. As soon as I step outside they life to land all over me and bit my skin. We got some rain the other day and it was humid today. Those bugs love the humidity. WE have some high winds with our storms also in Indiana sometimes. We had to tie our tomato plants up today because the winds bent them to the side. I hope your lilies finally open up for ya soon.

Those are some strong winds. You should feel lucky that you have any plants left after that.

One of my apple trees suffered the effects of the high winds as well. I had to stake it and make it stand straight. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Awww, I hope they open up and are beautiful. I hate when storms ruin the flowers. I don't have any flowers, except for my rose bushes. My neighbor has a lot of flowers and puts so much time into them. I feel bad when storms come along and ruin her work. It does not happen too often here, maybe once every 2-3 years so it isn't too bad. Scary when it does, though.

Yeah I kept checking on my flower beds hoping things didn't get too badly ruined. but they seem to be okay. Well the flowers will be at ground level as the stems got bent and the buds stayed healthy. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My lilies from last year are flourishing and so beautiful! They're on the west side of the house. I hope yours thrive despite the bad weather!
