The ice cream truck just came by. sweet sweet music lol. we actually had some cash on hand and treated ourselves to an ice cream each. Oh it was yummy I got a strawberry shortcake thing, Mom got a pushup, and daughter got a chocotaco. Do you have an ice cream truck in your neighborhood? What kind of treat would you have gotten?

I wish we had ice cream turcks in our area. We don't, but the ariety store next to the cafe has an ice cream reezer, and I go in there quite often. Would you please tell me what a pushup is? I'd loe to know.

Oh, I love push-ups, I didn't see that the OP put that in her paragraph. Basically, they're usually sherbet what is in a little round tube and there is a little plastic platform it sits on that you "push up" with a plastic stick. I used to eat those all the time when I was a kid. They were mostly orange, but I think they have other flavors now.

That is exactly what a push up is. And yes it was orange flavored my mom's favorite treat from the ice cream truck.

I haven't really seen an ice cream truck in my immediate area because the traffic is so bad right where my building is. I live on a major artery in our part of the city. But, I have seen those guys with the hand carts walking around. I think in quieter parts of the neighborhood there are ice cream trucks. I live near a McDonalds where I can get ice cream, shakes, and McFlurries. I also like to go to Rite Aid and Sam's Club because they give me the best deal and lots of ice cream for my money.

The truck is expensive to buy from but the sweet memories it evokes are worth the occasional expence for the treats. I remember as a kid we would all race up the hill (the truck stopped at the top of hill to our street) and get our ice cream (when we could scrounge the change lol). I remember getting bomb pops a lot and then this one time I got this thing that was in a plastic cone type thing (think snowcone container only plastic not paper) that had a gum ball at the very bottom of it.

We don't have any around here. I miss seeing them around town. I would probably get a drumstick cone.

We do not have an ice cream truck in my area. :( I live on the side of a highway in a small country town. It sucks. I plan on living in town here soon and hope there is an ice cream truck or atleast an ice cream shop or a store with ice cream near by. lol I love ice cream.

I heard an ice cream truck in my neighborhood and saw it leaving. I missed the ice cream truck and when I did catch it I didn't have a money to buy ice cream at the time.
