I'm not "tagging" anymore, I'm so tired of it!!

It takes time and effort and when I'm replying to someone, what's the sense of it? I'll tag my own discussions so people can see what it's about but that's it. It's a stupid thing to have to do, anyway. I say this now because I'm four days behind and I can't see wasting time tagging when I'm replying to an already tagged discussion.

I stopped tagging for a while because I thought it was a pain, but I noticed that my earnings weren't really increasing when I wasn't tagging. I started doing it again and have seen my earnings increase as they should. It only takes a second.

Is that when you tag your discussions or your replies? I don't mind tagging my discussions but doing so with replies just doesn't seem to be worth it.

That is with responses. I don't really start too many discussions.

I only tag my own discussions. I used to tag others but i got tired of it and thought it was a waste or of time too so i stopped. the only good thing about tagging discussions is when you use the search it makes them easier to find.. i don't use that often but i do use it sometimes when i have to go hunting for discussions to reply to

Hey, it's a good thing I had notifications turned on! I got one of your discussions but it'd been deleted--thank you for sharing that place. But don't post any links that you make money or points on or they'll delete it. I appreciate your link, though, and joined.

your idea is good... sometimes im lazy to put a tag with someones discussion because for me it is useless... the discussion is had a tag and i think for me it it not necesssary to place a tag to that... i would agree from your point... hehehe' maybe i will follow what you're doing...

It sure saves some time if you don't do it and they don't need extra tags, anyway! For me, it's all about saving time because I'm very busy and want to spend as much time here as I can, supporting my friends and making any money I can while enjoying the companionship.

Sometimes I can't think of what you use for a tag and then I think that they could be to long. But just the past few days I have not been tagging that much. It can't take up time and wear you down a little.

I hope my friends don't get offended. Sometimes I have nothing to add, like you, and sometimes I'm just not interested in the subject.

Me, too. But while I made the reply and I'm moving back to my mailbox in another window to go to the next discussion, that darn thing wants me to tag or skip. I wish I could skip that step. I need to work out an efficient system.

Why? I have read that tagging increases earnings.

It does if you tag the discussions you start. Tagging replies doesn't do anything but take time.

I tag all of the discussions started by me. Your losing money, if you choose not to tag them. I will tag other discussions, if they don't have 5, as want my friends to make as much money as they can make now. I do search for topics when there isn't anything I'm interested in responding to on my friend list on the first page. Dragon I go to your profile page to see what you started, but can't do that for my entire list of friends. I wouldn't do anything else that day. Sorry just not enough hours in the day. I wish there was a top friends on this board. This way top friends would show up on page 1 all of the time. Yesterday the discussion I posted on that you started was on page 4 of my friends list. I may have to drop a few people from my friend list, so I can answer everyone. Its not you I'm considering dropping, as your interests are a lot like mine.

Thanks! I have to cull my list, too, as I have over 100 friends but only a small core that I seem to interact with. I have my notifications turned on, that's how I keep up with everyone, but I don't see their tags until I'm done replying so I can't add to them that way. Going to everyone's profile is very time-consuming and I seem to have so little time these days. Ironically, all my time seems to be spent on the net but it's doing research for writing and the writing itself that takes up all my time! I may have to find a different way to myLot, if I can just figure out the most efficient.

When you made your reply to this thread, you hit the "post comment" button and it should've brought up another screen that says "tag this discussion" and you're supposed to put in things like "question, what is tagging, how" and so on, describing what you've just written. We do it when we start discussions so that people searching for that subject can find it. But that's the only thing it's good for, it's useless if you're replying to a discussion.

I always tag too. I've also heard tagging increases earnings. Also tagging really helps other users find discussions a lot more easily. I'm always searching for discussions and not getting any results! Then later I'll stumble upon a related discussion only to find that it wasn't thoroughly tagged which is why it didn't show up in the search. So it's always a good idea to tag. Even if a discussion has already been tagged! The more tags, the better! And the easier it is for your discussion to be found!

Discussions, yes, but what's the use of tagging replies?

I must admit that I stopped tagging while ago. Now I only do it occassionally or on my own discussions. I admit that by not tagging it makes a discussion more difficult to find on a search, but I rarely use that facility so I figure that other people don't use it that much either.

I have used it but usually get results that are nothing like what I'm looking for! So, what good are they? Nevermind..this is a weird place. I love it, but it's weird and I don't understand their reasoning!

Thanks! And how about the "add this interest?"--if I wanted that interest, I'd have added it when I created my profile! Grrrrrrr....
