We have one dollar store here, and two in the next store over. I love dollar stores. We buy for our Sunday school class, for my daughters and my sons class for all the holidays, and birthdays, and it really helps out with the cost of things. i would be lost if we did not have dollar stores. I know that we would be shopping a lot less!!

I don't get out much due to health right now but my wife comes home with stuff from the dollar store all the time. I can't believe the things she brings home and tells me they were a buck. Pretty cool.

Yes. I like Dollar Tree where everything really is $1 or less. Some dollar stores charge $20 for some items so I'm not sure why they're called "dollar" stores. Dollar Tree has a little of everything. I like buying greeting cards there because they're only 50 cents. I also get trail mix, soap, home decor, and kitchen items...among other things.

We have a lot of them here, but I really only buy things like wrapping paper, gift bags, ribbon, and such there. Nothing from them seems to be of very good quality.

Yes, they seem to be pretty much everywhere these days. We appreciated that fact when we lived in Tennessee. We lived in a very rural area, and even the nearest Walmart was a 15 minute ride. However, we did have 2 dollar stores in our nearest little town and came to rely on them for a lot of things we had to buy.

I enjoy shopping in dollar stores. I find they help me to keep my pocketbook from being completely empty while also providing good value for your money. I like the idea of being able to go to a store and spend twenty dollars and get my money's worth. I also like that no matter what, everything that is being sold to you is a dollar and nothing more. I find that when you go and shop at a dollar store, you can get products that are just as good if not better than the original or name brand. I've had little or no problem with items I've bought for the apartment in the past that we used to rent. The worst thing about dollar stores can really rest upon the quality of the item the customer is buying sometimes though. I've run in to good, but also some bad deals when it comes to dollar stores. There have been times where I've bought stuff thinking it was going to be half decent and it ends up being a total waste of time. I'll give you an example of something that didn't live up to what I thought it could do. We had a curtain rod that was being held up by a couple of those 3M hooks. Well, one day one of them was pulled off and we needed to replace it. I figured we could find those hooks at the dollar store so that's where my other half went the next day. He picked up a package of their plastic wall hooks and we tried to use them as a replacement. They didn't do a good job of sticking to the wall at all. They kept falling off and we basically just said to heck with it and went to Home Depot to fix that problem. Now, I remember a time where I had introduced my boyfriend to the benefits of a dollar store before we moved in together. He never gave the place much of a shot until we went there. We walked out with at least ten dollars worth of good stuff which had him surprised. Ever since then he's been hooked on those places. He now would much rather buy things we need from one of those places than an actual department store. So, in conclusion, I really do enjoy shopping in dollar stores and I would rather spend my money there than at any department store that sometimes can rip you off.. Because you can sometimes find the exact same thing at a dollar store for so much cheaper. The only time I would spend my money in a department store is for good deals. Other than that I'm all for purchasing items/products from a dollar store. Thanks for letting me share! xx
