I have loads of stories from my family that I may put in a book.
Here's one that is shortened. What do you think?
My GreatAuntie used to tell us a story about the
young brave that lost the maiden he loved because she loved another.
He became enraged, took his bow, aimed at the other and let the arrow go.
The Great Spirit seeing the brave in all his foolishment sent Brother Wind
to give the revenge(arrow) to Brother Oak. The Great Spirit thought that the brave
would in time be sorry for what he tried to do and forget his want of the love.
Many moons passed as the brave, with poison in his heart,
spent all his time planning the distruction of the other, thinking he could then
have his love. It was now fall and most of the leaves of Brother Oak were gone.
The Great Spirit had given the brave time to accept this loss but
instead he planned an attack on the other. He had heard that the other would go to
hunt, knowing he would pass close by Brother Oak the brave hid in wait. Just as the
brave was ready, knife in hand to jump atop the other Brother Wind sent by the
Great Spirit blew a very powerful blast throught the bare limbs of Brother Oak
where the arrow had rested. The arrow with speed anew flew through the air straight
into the brave's heart. The arrow aimed at another had killed the one that aimed.
Auntie would say
" So my neices and nephew if you seek to hurt another you will just hurt yourself.
Now remember that you must never ever hurt anyone else in meaning"
It's longer but I have given you a short version!

I would definitely like to read that when you get it finished. There is a growing market for children's and young adult's book.

I really like that story. It tells a moral and teaches a lesson. Hopefully the children who read it will learn the lesson and take it to heart. You are a good writer. Each story should be a different book. Then you could have a series of books.

Very good story with a moral. I agree, you should write a children's book. It would make you feel good and give a lot of pleasure to other people as well. Get going, friend, I will buy a copy for my granddaughter.

That's a fantastic story with a very good moral. I have written a few children's stories, that I'd like to publish, but none with morals like hat. Mine were based on events that happened to my relaties when they were children.

I like that story, it's definitely the kind of thing that I would pick up. It would be great with some bold colorful illustrations too, maybe some in the style of Paul Goble. So I'm definitely giving a thumbs up, go for it!!
