I use mylot purely for pleasure. But it seems that I am some what a lone ranger here. I seems that sometimes based on the discussions and responses that people are here for the pennies that they make a day. And this is fine if its what you have decided to do to earn extra money. But as a result of I think some of the discussions and post are without substance and merit. Because people are basically trying to make their quota. Whats your opinion, would you use mylot.com if you weren't paid?

well when i came here first i was motivated to earn only . but now i am enjoying it because as a doctor i am helping people here and when they are appreciating me i am feeling better about my job. as a doctor i am getting much much . i do not need this penny but when it is coming then it is not bad. But i am agree with you that some post have no substances . and you and me can not do anything about that. mylot authority should think it, unless they are doing anything we can not do anything . do not mind i love that people appreciate me for my job. do you think i am selfish for that??

I don't think your selfish at all. I think if you were in some other profession, you would still want to help others with the knowledge you had in that profession. That's what this community is all about. I'm an herbalist and natural healer, and I feel good when I can help people take charge of their health before they get a bad disease. Would you think I was selfish for that? Keep up the good work. We're all part of a community and everyone can help someone.

Considering I've been here for just over three weeks and I haven't even reached $15.00 yet I doubt you could say I'm here for the big bucks. LOL I think most of us are here for the fun of it. The added bonus is those shiney pennies. Would I be here if it was unpaid - sure I would. Its not like I'm counting on those pennies to pay my rent, right?

Hi relundad! I'm here for the pleasure as well, but the added incentive is a bonus. I would still MyLot if i wasn't being paid. I have to agree that some maybe here for the money, but there are alot of us here who do it because we enjoy interacting with the other members here. I've come across some wonderful people here, and also enjoyed some wonderful posts. But whatever the reason one must admit this is a good site to be on compared to whats out there.

I probably would not have ever come to myLot if they didn't pay, but I've made so many friends here and enjoy the discussions we have so much that I'd keep using it if it didn't pay. I know what you mean about the discussions that seem to be started purely for pay, and those people are dilusional. If it's not a quality discussion it won't get them as much pay. I read about the people setting themselves a quota. I can't do that. Sometimes there are many, many discussions I want to respond to or start, but other times I come in here and there's nothing that interests me at all and I can't think of anything that I think would interest anyone else, so I leave.

I have noticed the same as you and in one discussion when asking what you here for, i felt the odd one out as i am not here for the earnings, although it is a bonus obviously. I not understand if ONLY here for making money becuase when you think about it, you be lucky to make dollar in a day but not every day obviously.. and think how many hours of typing u need to do to make that. I here to meet interesting people with same intersts as me, i find it fun and i enjoy the challenges, like first star, getting to 200 posts, making good discussion which gets you the responses and so on. Also i have gained knowledge, and enjoy helping others if i am able to, and when you successfully manage to help someone, and to get a thankyou makes you feel good :))) So my answer to you. is yes i would stil use mylot but i think maybe not as much becuase there be many that wouldnt be here anymore, so not be as many discussions being posted.

I joined My Lot as a PTP as part of my search for something I could do from home to make a few dollars. Most of the PT sites were boring, questionable on a personal values respect, or were just traffic directors to other sites. But I've enjoyed just reading and responding to discussions here. It is a casual thing.... I don't think I have even looked at my earnings in months. I can't even remember what the minimum for payout is... I'm certain I am far from it. I also like responding to topics where I can be of help or relate to. Just for grins and giggles I think I'll go review the terms.:-)

I am enjoying MY journey here... maybe I'll invite a friend or to join for fun.

Yeah, me too. When i first joined this site it was because of my thoughts: "Cool, you can make money by posting on forums". Then i noticed that the discussion werent as boring as usually in some forums and it started to hook me up into. Suddenly i noticed that i could type more faster, my english got better etc. It helps in many ways when you participate in mylot. The money i get now is not much, so that is not really what i am aiming for. Ofcourse i am cashing out my first 10$ because that is kind of an accomplishement, if not big one.

I'm so sure the number of people using mylot will reduce drastically if there is no payment.Consider the bills and the time involved,i'm sure very few people will be willing to continue.

Hi there! Frankly I wouldn't be here if not for the earnings. But I have never considered this a job. The earnings here cannot pay the rent. And like you, as time goes by and I experienced how things work here so I have made mylot my productive past time. Because I earn while I'm having fun. I think most of us found mylot because we are looking for ways to earn extra money in the net. Its the earnings that motivates the members to participate more so others are really setting goals and use their extra time to earn big here. For me the earnings is the best feature of mylot. And thats whats catchy about this site thats why the community keeps on growing. Ciao!

I think that the money is really one of the main cause why I joined here but actually I'm not into accomplishing any quota for the day. I also enjoy here too answering a lot of discussions at the same learning a lot of new things. Don't get me wrong but I just don't respond and respond to earn money. I respond because I think that the discussion is really worth answering to.

Hi, I totally sympathize with you! I like MyLot, I like discussion, and people on this site tend to not attack people, just ideas. I like that! And you're right, the fact that people get paid DOES water down some conversations, but there are topics that will always encourage lively debate. Either way, I don't even have a PayPal account so I don't know how I WOULD get paid, so I'm here just for fun!

Hello, relundad. In fact,at the begining I came here only with the purpose of making money. But now I like the atmosphere of mylot more than how much I can earn by mylot a day.In mylot,we discuss problems, express our emtion and make friends all over the world. It's really great to me.Now,even if I can get no money from mylot,I also will come here everyday, not for money but for my friends and joy.

I am not going to lie to you in saying that I am here for the money. However, I don't feel as if it should matter whether I am or not, I still try to make my discussions with substance. It irks me to see people with only a few lines but with nothing to say. I try to make my discussion worthwhile but like any human, sometimes I don't.

Well, the pay really adds to your pleasure. It is nice to be here all the time because you can hear ideas and experiences from your friends and other members who are not yet on your friend's list but is is also good to be paid with the things you really enjoy doing. Have fun... just leave them what they are thinking and doing. Just enjoy yourself without bothering ourself what others do.

I agree and I see this alot on mylot. Many posts having no substance or purpose whatsoever. I agree that earnings are a great incentive for posting, but alot of times I feel odd that I don't strive to post 50-100 posts a day. The good thing about mylot is that it's up to you how much you earn but how much you post. So it's very easy to post just about anything. But it still requires a lot of time to post in great amounts everyday. I probably would not be here if there wasn't a monetary incentive, but there is only so much to earn on mylot. The amount of work and time it takes to earn a decent amount of money can be used in other activities as well. I guess it's just a matter of taking the good with the bad.

I'm honestly not sure if I would have joined myLot if I wasn't getting paid for it. I suppose not, at least not unless a friend of mine recommended it to me (instead of me finding someone randomly mentioning it on another forum). However, the more time I spend on this website, the more I'm starting to actually get into discussions as opposed to just posting and running. It makes the posts fly by faster and the amounts I get for my participation are increasing, which is a nifty little bonus.

I think most of the people here came because they looking for ways to kill time online while making money on the side like me. At first it was amazing to get paid while you participate in discussions which i love especially giving out advices to people about love and life. The monetary compensation for me is just the cherry on top and for the short time i spent here on site i like it here. You are able to share your ideas and help others while getting something in return but if the site didn't pay me i would still be here to give advices. The site is great the way it is and the community is getting bigger. Post like this will only create factions so it's better we just leave it as it is and choose the topics we feel calls for our interests and ideas..
