What Are You Reading These Days?

I love to read. I have been receiving several free books from a group on gather. All I have to do is agree to review them. I just finished reading Dear Neighbor Drop Dead by Saralee Rosenberg. It was a wonderful story. If you enjoy a good read, I recommend this book. I sit on my front porch and laughed so hard my stomach hurt. Do you enjoy reading? What are you reading?

If you're a true-blue fan of fantasy books, I recommend this book for you to read. The title is 'Artemis Fowl' by Eoin Colfer. It is a book series which features a 12-year old child prodigy in the first book who wants to restore his family's fortune. However, this can cause a cross-species war between Fairy People (i.e., dwarfs and fairies) and people (or Mud Men, as the Fairy People call them). It is a very wonderful book and I hope you will take the time to read at least the first book.

I am reading 'The third secret'. It is a suspense novel - very good. Your description reminded me of 'Skipping Christmas' by John Grisham (forget the movie, it s*cked, the book was great). I am a John Grisham fan and received this book as a Christmas present, I sat down to read it and I could not figure out where it was going, it was so different from his typical novels. All of a sudden, I find myself laughing out loud as I realized he had written about me. The book you are reading sounds like something I want to read, I just went to add it to my ebook wishlist but ereader does not have it.

That sounds like a good read. i laughed like that over parts of Angela's Ashes. THat is a great book. It is very poignant. You will laugh at some parts and cry at some parts. Frank McCourt is a great author, but I digress, I also laughed alot at Bridget Jones Diary and the other BJ book the Edge of Reason. They were both good. Right now I am reading Shock by Kitty Dukakis about her expeiences with eletroshock treatments.

I use to hate to read, until I read the harry potter books, and they were so interesting it kept me curious as to what was going to happen next. now I'm reading a book my mom gave me called, "The Snow Bride" but I have read quite a few books here and there. my daughter really does all the reading. but I do read when I'm alone or have a few minutes of quiet time. I love reading it was my first passion, before I got internet but I still pick a good book anyday and get comfy with it. I have seen a site that wants people to review movies and books but it isn't from gather and I don't know if it is legit or not. I will have to check that book out next time i get towards the library or request it next time I see the book mobile. Thanks for the heads up on a great sounding book love the ones that make me laugh. Do you have to send the books back? and how would one go about being able to review books as well?

You are recommending a book that makes you laugh, I will definitely write it in my list of books to look out for. I am currently reading "Just Hand Over The Chocolate and No One Will Get Hurt" by Karen Scalf Linamen. It is a book for women on how to handle stress, it is also inspirational. I saw it on a religious website, then in a religious bookstore and bought it to donate to the church library. I told them I wanted to read it first to make sure it is appropriate. It is. It is a tummy tickler but also mentions God and prayer. This woman has other books out which I want to keep my eye out for.

I don't like to read novels and story books. But I like to read magazines. Recently, I am reading a book on echocardiogram. This is a boring book but I am learning how to do ultrasound on heart,so I have to read it. I am struggling to memorize and get familiar with all the things. Hopefully I can pick up faster. Wish me luck.

I have been reading a lot this summer. When I need to escape from the turmoil of life I grab a book and head either for my rocking chair or sit outside and read. I am not one that pays full price for books. Mine are purchased from the Goodwill store or tag sales. I have quite a collection of Karen Robards books. She is a heck of a writer.

I also love reading but nowadays not finding time to read due to internet. I read when I am travelling and when internet is not available. Last I read was a book named illusion, it was perfect, on the spiritual side of life.

The only thing I am reading these days, are the discussions here in Mylot. I work online seven days a week and do not have time to read any books. I have to get my daily earnings and make sure to get things done around my home also. That takes alot of time. My daughter is also sick and getting ready to have surgery some time this week. I am a nervous wreck over it and the bills that come with it.
