You Wouldn't Beleive This....

July 29, 2008 8:05pm CST
You wouldn't this but I just have to tell you, I was working on Mylot to the early hours of the morning when I decided to log of and go the bed, as you know from my last discussion that I broke toe while trying answer the phone, well I hobbled to wards the staires when this bee was flying around so I opened my front door for to go but no it wouldn't go out so I left it. I slowley climbed up the staire and put my hand on the banistaire when I felt this almighty pain shoot up my palm,Oh the bee must have been sitting there and I put my hand on it. The pain was unbearable I sat on the staires didn't know what to do, it was four in the morning and my husband was snoreing away making noise like a fog horn, I pressed my palm with my other hand then I put my hand under the cold tap to ease the sting it helped a little bit so I went to bed with my hand sticking out trying not press it it was trobbing and then to make matters worse I kicked my broken toe with my other feet, oh God was I in pain,it was just an old Laurel & Hardy film, if it wasen't so painful I thing I would have laughed. Well this morning it was still hurting me and my husband don't help because all said was "its just a bee sting" yeah wait till you get stung by a bee mate. Now its just gone one in the morning and the pain is easing off and I did take some pain killer for my toe now so it fine, please I hope nothing else will happen to before I go to bed. Have any one else had any mishaps in series? please let me know. Tamarafireheart.

I was so glad when I realised this discussion has been going on for months. All I could think of when I read it was that this was two things that had happened to you, and these things are known to come in threes, so what was the third thing going to be. But now I know it was all in the past and the third must have come and gone and not been very remarkable, I trust. And I hope you are well now, Tamara.

Oh tamara, you poor thingI've been stung and I know how much it hurts! I have also broken just about every toe on both feet some more than once! I'm a walking disaster. I'm always banging myself, walking into something, falling. I usually have more than one disaster after another. So my dear unfortuante friend, you are not alone! I hope you are feeling betterPlease let us know. Take care of yourself, Opal

You sound like you've had a bad time recently. Bees (I think) produce an alkaine sting, so washing it with a little acetic acid may help neutralise the sting. Some other insects have an acid sting so they would need something like Bicarbonate of soda to neutralise it. If you have an allergic reaction to the bee sting then you should get immediate medical attention.

This sounds like it came out of a movie. I am sorry to hear you got stung by a bee. I have been stung by a bee and I must say it does hurt. That is why if I see bees I try to get away I do not want to be stung. I hope you are doing better and I just realized this is from 9 months ago but I still think it will be okay to leave my thoughts on this. Take care tamarafireheart. Happy mylotting as well.

oh dear i'm so sorry to hear about this. it's really just a series of unfortunate events. we chinese saying has that bad things happen in threes. so maybe you want to be careful over the next few days. a broken toe is really bad, a bee sting makes it worse. nothing like this has ever happened to me but it did my partner. thankfully he emerged unscathed from them. there was this time that he almost got into an accident with a reckless driver. after that he narrowly escaped being crashed by a car that couldn't brake in time. i told him to watch out for the third time but he laughed it off. true enough, another near-miss happened so it makes it three. take care and get well. meantime, stay on mylot. cheers ;p

Hi applefreak, Thank you so much for your response and warning me about things tha happens in threes, yes I really believe that also and I'm being very careful with myself when moving around, but when it happens you cannot avoid it so keep your fingers cross for me that it won't. My hands are a lot better not but I toe still hurts a bit, the only thing that kees me going are my friends like you on Mylot. Thanks again my friend and keep Mylotting. Tamara

Ouch Tamara! A broken toe and now a bee sting. Bless your heart! Rumor has it that you can take a penny and apply it to a sting and it will ease the pain and help it heal. I haven't tried it. Fortunately, knock on wood, it's been some time since I've been stung. Last time was a red wasp and they can keep stinging you. Nasty little buggers. How is your toe? Let's not start a clumsy contest please. I do quite well on bumping and banging into things without making it a contest. Car door got my leg the other day and I have a lovely bruise. Take care sweetie. LK

Hi hun, That was really awful at the time, I think the bee sting was really painful too and now I keep well away from those critters, and yes I have had the misforforune of getting my fingers caught in a car door and calmley ask my friend to open her dorr again as my finger was in it, when she had done that, I scramed and the air was blue, that was better, lol! hugs. Bright Blessings, Tamara

So sad my friend and I can still feel the pain in your toe and here it comes, a bee sting in your palm. It really hurts. I think you have to be very very careful next time, even though you are only in the house, we really never know what will happen. Don't you think you need some rest, my friend?
