how to enjoy life?

before we get to enjoy life, we need to settle ourselves first. the battle is in us. and one reason that is why we could not enjoy life is because of our shame. let me share to you this message that i read from a book.
Shame is the raincoat of the soul, repelling the living water that would otherwise establish us as the beloved of God. it prevents us from receiving grace and truth where we need them the most. many factors contribute to shame, but ultimately the problem is that we resist the reality of the Father's love. we believe, falsely, that our sin and weakness disqulaify us for receiving His love.
but our Father is faithful. through the cross Jesus removes every attitude that repels the truth of the Father's love for us. that love surpasses the sursed thought patterns collected over a lifetime of pain.
though thick and wll suited to repel love, our "shame coats" are no match for God's love for us, a love revealed at Calvary.--strength in weakness
i really like the statment above. it reminds me of the great love God has for me and to all of us who would go to Him in prayer. there are a lot of shames and past mistakes i had done. it was dreadful. but it is no match for God's great love for me in the cross.
how about you? do you agree with the above statment? it is the only way to enjoy life.. what you think?

Dear friend,
May humans wants are unlimited hence the happiness may not be attained until these wants are satisfied. It would be seen that a saniyasi is sometimes happy. But still at he too becomes sad thinking of the world pathetic situations. Hence I feel that if one goes in right path as a true follower of God he could attain happiness seeing only the positive side of life. May be one has to be always positive in every aspect.

my friend, i believe you have a point there. we should see life positively. but as true followers of God, it is not always the way it seems.. somehow, i looked at also the negative side. it makes me happy though because it is a reminder to where to look at. but thanks for the reminder. hope that you are a true folowe of God too, that is, a disciple of Jesus. only by obeying Him can we attain such happyness in life...

To enjpy life is to enjoy everything life has to offer, the ups and downs and the trials that come along the way. The ability to appreciate the little things that we may seem to froget at times coz we think of so many things. Its the ability or the time time to look very close at simple things in life and appreciate it. We are living in such a complez world and almost everything instant that we no longer have the time to wait and see the things God ought to reveal to us.
We have a God that never changes and the God thats alwaysthere with us, through thick and thin. All he wants of us is to cry out to him, be with Him and have this intimate and special relationship with him and a heart obedient of His will in our lives.

you have a point there. only when we spend our life with its Maker will we be able to enjoy life. without it, outwardly you are happy, but deep inside you are not..hmm, i am glad we know the Maker.. outwardly and even inwardly we are secured..

I do not think that religion or god is the only way to enjoy life. The only way to enjoy life is to find self satisfaction. One cannot enjoy if they are always told what to do and what not to do.

i think you are wrong my friend. the only way to enjoy life is to enjoy it together with its MAker. would you believe that God formed and made you? that whosoever is your parents, it is actually God who placed them there for you! it is He who made you, and you can only experience life at its fullest when you are to spend your life together with Him. He made you and even the world. so whatever you are to face here on earth, it is Him who design it for His purpose. if you don't accept that reality, enjoying life would never be possible..

Well, for me I live life my way, so I think I enjoy it the most because everything that happens, happens by my will. Be it good for me, or bad. I do not have to blame the cause on anyone and feel sad later that I had to face the bad happening because I trusted in someone else. And I think that sometimes it's best enjoyed when you are by yourself, rather than counting on someone to get you through all the parts of life.

but it is not good when you are just happy in a moment and the next you are not. so i suggest that spend it with the Lord and even to eternity, you will experience one...!

the best way to enjoy life is to spend it with its Creator. HE is the author of your life. so if you want to have a happy ending, spend it with HIM. HE longs to hear and guide you. He is your father.. He made you purposely...thanks for the time
