Work is part of life. We work to earn to satisfy our daily needs. Do we need to be workaholic (addicted to work) to be able to earn a good name in our company? Is it good for an employee or is it a bane in disguise for the employee? Share your experiences.....

Workaholic is good as long as you can also manage other thing in your life. Especially your family, if you missed one day in a week for your family and you work 7 days week then you will have problems in the future. You can be workaholic but should manage or control other things also life give a few times for your self. But that is good for your company and your working relationship as well, maybe you can promote early.

I think being a workaholic is bad for health and also bad for your own personal life. One should work hard but should not be addicted to their job.

It is good to be very effective and more productive at the work place. But it is not good to be workaholic. It affects your physical and mental health too.

Hi Siva Ohh great discussion to start .....!!! No I think that workaholic is more than a bad habit.....because it kills your family and soical life . Giving Time to familly ,work and society is must and all are important we cant ignore one at cost of other . Even I practiced being workaholic .....but it caused me lot pains as I have losses at other ends life like social and family. SO I think its rather dangerous to be workaholic ... Thanku Ganesh

Being a workaholic is good because you can earn more. But there's a pose of a treat to your health. You might be reckless and ended having an illness because of too much work you no longer had any concern for your health. The balance of work and health should be well established so that health problem may be avoided.

I don't think it is really good to be "addicted" to anything because it shows a real dependence on that thing for happiness. If something goes wrong what happens? And it can end up hurting the other, probably more important relationships in your life. Also, just because you spend a lot of time working, being a workaholic, doesn't mean you get more done. Happy workers tend to be more productive, and these workers often spend less time working than less efficient workers, who may be seen as workaholics. Its better to be an efficient worker, not necessarily a constant worker.
