Do you iron your clothes?

I seldom iron my clothes unless they are wrinkled and really need pressing. There are people who regularly iron their clothes after drying it. It is pretty nice to see our clothes well pressed when we use them but very time consuming specially when you are working. When I was working, I have a regular day of pressing my uniform and that is every Sunday afternoon. Do you still iron your clothes now?

I haven't ironed my clothes in days. When my husband was in the Army they had to iron their uniform all the time.I tried to do it for him a few times and never did it right. He ended up doing it himself..lol. I just can't get it right.

He doesn't force me to learn anything. I tried and was doing it, just not as good as he could do it himself. People have different strengths, he's just a better ironer.

good for you, he did not get upset.. and force you to learn how to iron properly? Well, it is good to have wash and wear clothing that don;t need to be ironed.

Sunday evening is my presssing day. I iron all the office uniforms of my husband for one week, my office clothes for the whole week as well. My son takes care of his own clothings most of the time to lighten my loads. At times, my husband does the ironing of his own uniforms when he is in the mood or if he sees that I don't feel well. But for my own clothes, I don't like anyone else to do it for me. I feel that I can do it better than anyone else

Hi my friend, it sounds that you have a good husband. I never see my husband ironing his clothes since we've been together. maybe when he was yet living alone he did it but now? he'd rather use wrinkled clothing than spending time to press it. anyway, you are again lucky!!!!

I personally only iron clothes when I absolutely need to. And since most of my clothes are designed as wrinkle free than it workes well for me.

No, I don't iron my clothes, I do good just to get them washed and all hung up and in my closet..lol. If I have something thats really wrinkled and looking bad, I'll iron it, but not hardly, I think it is time consuming. I don't know that there are people out there that still iron clothes.

Women Ironing Cloths - She sure looks happy to be ironing. I never looked that happy whenever I had to iron cloths years ago. I am happy that I don't have to do that chore any longer. Thank goodness for small blessings.
Ah Bebs08, I have a long time allergy to ironing. lol. My husband was in the service 20 years ago and that is the only timed I ironed cloths. The only ones I ironed also is his uniforms. I make sure I buy permanant press and soon it is dry it gets hung up on hangers. I don't like to iron and make sure our cloths are such that I don't have to iron them. Don't want my allergy acting up.

I am way too lazy to iron my clothes. I usually throw them back in the dryer if they are too wrinkled.

I iron them when I NEED to iron them. I keep my pants that need be creased, creased and my blouses that need to be ironed wrinkle free. Otherwise, I take the lazy way out and throw them in my dryer with a bounce sheet! If I can get out of ironing, I would!!

At this time, I really don;t like to always iron my clothes. I just hang them after drying and if ever I need to use them, check if it is wrinkled, then press, if not.. no need.

I ironed a shirt once and burned it.My husband is the expert at ironing. The last time that he used a iron was 10 years ago. That is when he was in the Marine corps and had to iron his uniform. But now we use the dryer to get out wrinkles.

the ladies of today are not well oriented with ironing not like the ladies of yesterday. It maybe because women are too busy working outside and in the home that they get exhausted of doing that ironing thing. Anyway, not necessary today because we can buy wash and wear clothing except the uniforms that really need pressing.

I like to have my clothes ironed everyday when I go to work. But I do not iron for the whole week at one time. It is done every morning.

For me ironing depends on the fabric. If the fabric is cotton or starched it definitely needs ironing. But a chiffon or silk if dried and folded well(which I normally do) does not need ironing. I also iron my expensive clothes worn on special occasions.

There are times that even if you clothes are made of silk they need to be pressed sometimes. Even if you folded them or hanged them they will be crumpled. That is why I ironed them sometimes when it really needs to be.

I simply hate ironing - I try to get clothes that can be hand-washed and dried without wrinkles. Ironing's the worst task of any housework - it's hot, and I have to be careful that I iron properly without any creases, else I will have to do it over again!
