I have received emails from so many friends. I am always wondering what's the meaning of their name. I chose dloveli because my grandfather used to sing a song and it used to say" It's delightful, it's delicious, it's delovely. I am starting a business designing and selling jewelry. I decided to call it Designs by Dloveli. It was only natural I could use it online. I love it!! How about you? What's the story behind your name?

Mine is my first name with some numbers added after it so I could use my name. That's not nearly as interesting as your story!

Its a story nevertheless. It shows that your honest and upfront. That's definitely interesting. These days those qualities are hard to find in a person. I am glad to know you melanie! dl

It's so funny how when we are little we are given a nick name. WHo would have thought we would use them later on in life. I try to tell some of my friends make sure it can be used for business and pleasure. thanks for sharing dl

Reading through the replies I realised how creative some of the respondents are. Well, mine is rather simple; Raymond is my first name and I was born on a 23rd. Easy to remember since I have subscribed to hundreds of sites. Nice tyme-your is lovely.

You have to remember that sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. I love your name its catchy. I think it would be a great penname. Thanks for your compliment regarding mine. Sometimes I think its silly. Then I remember why it's there. Plus I want my jewelry to be looked at as sophisticated yet fun. Dloveli represents that. At least I think so. My business is jewelry and it seemed like a good idea. We'll see.... Thanks for sharing FRiend! dl

You definitely put some thought into that one! I like your myLot name as well. It sounds pretty. I hate it when we think we have a name that no one else will have when you submit it you have to pick another because someone already has it. I hate that. I dont think anyone will have those. You never know. Thanks dl

I use my first name followed by a number people can remember, like 123 or 987 or 555. No one will remember a number like 738, but 123 is easy.

I get afraid people will become confused if I use a lot of numbers. I do however, think that as long as you remember the reasons you chose the numbers it is a good idea. Especially security wise. I also like the CatLady. I take it you like cats. I hope so!!! lol dl

Numbers are hard to remember. But sequential or repeating ones are easy. My real name is a common one in my country, but I wanted to use it to make it easy for friends. After they remember if I spell it with an "i" or without an "i", when using the Latin alphabet they just need to remember 987 and which internet company I use. Of course I'm a cat lover. I have 2 new ones I found next to a garbage dumpster last night. Why did I go into town to visit friends last night????? It could have been someone else's problem! Grrrrrrr More bottle feeding. Never ends.

Garden Gerty was the name of a clown character I used to portray. She was gentle and kind, maybe a little naive, and I really liked her. So I use her name as my online ID.

I would have love to have been a clown. I have the perfect personality and feet. lol My sister used to say I had clown feet. You are truly a wonderful soul. TO have the gift to be able to bring happiness into the lives of others is a truly a blessing. You are blessed my friend. I thank you so much for sharing that with me. I thought you may like to garden and your name was Gertrude. Talk about assumptions. lol dl

It has to be very unique. I would certainly coin certain words from the things that interest me. Basically, I join certain facts from my family and friends and make it my username or email address. It has to be very distinct after all.

I remember the song you are referring to, that is a neat idea that you would use that as your screen name. Mine actually came from two sources. I moved to PA 3 years ago from Austin, Tx. So after I moved here the guys that work with my s/o started calling me 'the longhorn', so palonghorn shows both my PA roots and my Texas roots. I used to use the screen name txwildblaze.....I was with a volunteer fire dept as a wildland firefighter, so it fit lol. My very first email, which I haven't used in years was funnyfarm, at the time I was raising show goats, had a horse, 4 dogs, a cat, chickens and ducks, and rabbits lol and 2 kids and a husband lol

I used to use jayenx2 for all of my emails and user names. jayen stands for my initials sounded out (JN) and x2 stands for times 2 because my son has the same initials (JN) so JN times 2. Now I use reshadar. Resha is my Hebrew name and Adar is my middle name, so combined, it is Resha + Adar = ReshAdar

You should open up a business helping people decide on names that best represent a person as an individual. Just a thought. I do love your name! thanks for sharing my friend. dl

The one here I did because it describes me being a writer and what my personality is being a writer. The one for my family and friend's is my name as it is gmail and the one for my writing email is my name initialed plus my last name. The one for my singing and language email is a reflection on what is around me. Oh my computer name is a reflection on my personality.

I was wondering when someone would respond that they had more than one. I tried that but I always ended up favoring one over the other. Then I tried to specifically use one for business but I forgot to check it on a regular basis. Its better if I have just one. I am amazed at how organized you must be to maintain several email addresses on several different email sites. I think suspenseful is a great name! Especially for someone who's talented in so many different things. I am jealous! Thanks for sharing... DL

Good choice friend! That's why I tell my friends who are just starting out. Make sure it's something you can remember. That's the best way I think. If I didnt create a name that I could easily think of if I forgot. I would be creating new names everyday.lol. The best thing ever invented was the security questions that relate to your name. SO if you forget the computer will ask you one of the questions to help you remember. I used to use those questions daily. lol Now that I chose something that's familiar to me, I never forget. Such problems I make out of nothing. lool

Good thinking. You used the goal you were striving for as a name. This can be used to remind you of that goal as well. It says alot about you as a person. I think people tend to levitate towards positivity. You must be surrounded by friends. dl

Everything really does happen for a reason. So, there is a story behind the nickname. Me, for example, I would like to be invisible. However, just as the saying goes, I can fly, I can tough the sky. Thus, I am called hiddenwing. Maybe, it is not so reasonable. Any, if I like it. Take care!

Well its all up to you. You have to do what makes you feel comfortable. What annoys me is the fact that people dont realize that the name you use is the first thing people see when they open and email or view your page. Women that go by Hot mama 4U or something like that should realize that its not very good for a job to have to email u something or give your email address to a client using this. Its improper or unprofessional. Oh well.. Just my opinion. Thanks for sharing dl
