Lying in the middle of the shower tray this morning I found a large pea! Now, I'm not aware that we have taken to preparing our vegetables there so I can only conclude that someone has walked it in. I don't suppose that I shall ever find out who - although apart from me there are only two other likely suspects. Have you ever found anything unusual in your shower, or anywhere else for that matter?

A pea in your shower? Hmm, I couldn't begin to wonder how it got there. Have I ever found anything unusual..yes once I found a mouse in my toilet..alive! At 6:30am I am finding it hard to think of anything strange..so I best be getting off. I will surely remember more after my brain has time to recharge.

Well not sure! I screamed, ran out of the room..lol But I slammed the lid down first..it was a rat to big I figured to flush down but apparently not since it supposedly came up from the sewer. At that time we lived in a old house that didn't have a sewage tank it run into a creek. My husband had to flush several times to get it out.

Gee, I wondered where that pea disappeared to!!! I was looking for him too!! I can rest now that I know he is in a safe place!! He didnt want to be eaten and go into the black hole so he hitched a ride on someone and accidentally fell into the shower tray, he was trying to be discreet and hope that he didnt get spotted but he was never any good at hiding!!!
As for me I have never found something unusual, its only normally my boyfriend putting something in one cupboard whereas I put it in another. Its great fun when I come to find it, Im searching every cupboard. Its worse now that we have our kitchen redone, we have more cupboard space and havent decided on where things are going to live yet!! At the moment it just goes in any cupboard!! Apart from the cups, they have a home as they are needed for those important tea breaks!! lol

I don't usually find food in unusual places but I do tend to find toothbrushes in strange places. My toddler has a habit of throwing toothbrushes around when he has finished brushing his teeth. I will often not find them immediately but later on, I'll find one in a shoe or something. Toddler also used to like putting other things inside shoes. We got into the habit of having misplaced anything from a Lego brick to a spoon, the first place we looked was inside a shoe.

A "rogue pea"? lol. I am happy to hear that a pea has decided to go its own way and defy the characteristics of a standard pea! Either that or it is one of those sick and twisted "voyeur peas" that likes to watch people in the shower..... It sort of gives a whole new meaning to "peeing in the shower" too I guess! lol.

that is too funny. Kind of a weird place to find a pea though. I can't say I have ever found anything that unusual. Mostly it is my daughter (18) who picks things up and then drops them off in strange places. She does this all the time and it drives me nuts. Recently I found my tweezers and mirror in the kitchen.

Glad that I verified your spelling there p1ke sweety! My guess is that it fell down someones top and remained hidden in part of their anatomy til they got to the shower. Either that or the girls are playing mind games with you! I have found some very odd things in my shower/bath including snorkels and masks hee hee hee

A pee oops pea in the shower how novel LOL. Yes I guess it was walked in somehow by one of the three of you at some stage eh! I haven't a shower so no never but other than the odd spider in the bath not really. I found some cakes in the freezer once that should have been in the bedbin but I know that was my mum well helping me unpack the shopping as I went to get to have with our cup of tea and couldn't find them but we had a good laugh when we did as she had put the freezer stuff away so we knew who the culprit was. Pikey, maybe one of the chickens brought it in to soften it up before she eats it.
You may have some pretty smart chickens there.
If they are spending alot of time around you and Goodie, then, by osmosis, the brilliance may rub off.
Or maybe she just washed some before she ate them, and had so many gathered up in her feathers, that she dropped one.

Actually, chickens take a bath in the sand, not water.
She is likely sneaking in there when you aren't looking to wash her food. You might have to install a baby gate to keep her out. lol
But surely she'll have also killed some grass on your lawn making herself up a nice bathing spot she can visit daily and dust herself. Just the price you have to pay for having guests, is all.

Hmm, this sounds suspiciously like the kind of thing my daughter would do... I think that maybe she was just pretending to have a nap today, and when I was out the room she jumped on a train (with her pea), sneaked into your house, deposited said pea, and legged it home again.
With a two year old in the house it's an everyday occurrence to find things in strange places. We usually get nice surprises when it comes to doing the washing, as the washing machine often contains toy boats, rubber ducks, and sometimes car keys! She also opens the post when it comes through the door, and puts it in her toy box or behind the toilet.
And recently she went through a stage where she wandered round the house industriously searching for deodorants, and then posting them down the back of our chest of drawers. We spent months wondering where they kept disappearing to, and we kept buying more. And then I discovered five of them in her secret hiding place, along with various other "lost" things!

Hmm, she does like biscuits, and it sounds just like her to go riffling through cupboards. She's not really into jam though, but I've got a feeling she might've thought it was chocolate spread...
Sadly she doesn't go as far as paying the bills, but she does often tear them up, which is also useful.

Well dear pikey, that is quite interesting! A pea in the
shower! I guess that is strange to say the least and I
guess we better watch how we say it too! I thing the only
strange thing that I found in the shower was a leaf that
probably was in my hair. That is not as unusual as your
findings by no means. You win again Mr. Fish! I can just
imagine your face looking down at the pea and picking it
up and then proceeding with your shower.

What a way to start my morning!*L* My son used to stick partially eaten grilled cheese sandwiches in the vcr. When the vcr stopped working, my brother in law took it apart to see what was wrong with it. Seems the little guy was also using it for a penny bank. When they were in diapers, both my kids used their diapers for pockets. I would find all kinds of things when I changed them. There were pieces of Lego sets, rocks, little match box cars, and even food that they were saving for later, I guess. I found about a half gallon of milk under the cabinet with the cereal, a colander in the oven. So, yeah, I have found all kinds of things where they don't belong in my house.

I recognise the VCR trick. Grilled cheese sandwiches are useful though. For when you get the munchies during the late night horror movie! A friend of mine's GF one put three plastic pigs down the back of his trousers. Only two came out. There was much speculation as to where the third might have got to. Last time I heard (about 25 years ago) he still hadn't found it.

That's pretty odd!! Really not sure how that could have got there at all! The wierdest thing i have found was when i got my car! I hah had it for a couple of weeks and decided to hoover the inside (in typical eager, new car novelty fashion!!), as i was hoovering under the seat i found a really small knife, it was just so odd! It must have been left there by the previous owner as i had never seen it before, i couldn't work out why anyone would have a litte knife in their car! strange!! hehe xvx

I'm afraid the novelty of having new car has now well and truly worn off so there's no hoovering for me anymore, it's delegated to someone else, usually the strange little man in the valet centre down the road! hehe so, unless you've got a super duper car that you're willing to let me drive there shall be no munchkin hoovering for you either!!! lol perhaps he was, i never met the man that owned my little gabriel before me, could have been a serial killer for all i know, i prefer the thought of him being a mini bruce forsyth with a lisp though! xxxx

Maybe it was a Poddington pea (remember them?) who had come in for a wash and brush up. I have found my purse and keys in the fridge before now but that's because some silly woman wasn't thinking when she put them down.

hi pikefish I am back. oh my a pea. the only thing that is
unusual that I have ever found in my shower was a very
black very nasty looking spider which I managed to squash
with my shampoo bottle then freaked out and yelled for awhile
but my son was at his computer with ear phones on and did not even hear me. I can stand most critters but snakes and
spiders scare me silly. I have to use mysons walk in shower as mine is not safe for me with my bum leg and shoulder
