i love being home. it is my refuge. so many people don't like to stay home & ican't understand that. i'm by myself so don't have anyone around to try to tell me what to do or make my life miserable, guess that could make the differenc.i wish everyone could have peace at home. it's a great place to be. are you glad to be home ?

A home can be defined in many ways. it's a residence, a family dwelling place, and often times a refuge from the outside world. It's made of walls, and windows, and doors, which can keep people out, keep people in, or open freely so all may enter and leave as they wish. For me home is : 1) Home is where the heart is 2) Home Sweet Home 3) You can travel the world to search for what you need, but when you return home, you'll find it. 4) There's no place like home 5) You can buy a house but you have to make it a home 6) A home is not defined by its structure but by the people who fill it 7) A person who hopes to change the world must begin at home 8) How you behave at home, where others can't see, defines who you are " Live Well, laugh often, love much " -bookworms

I have a different sense of home since I mostly live away because of work. I come home every other week or so for a weekend. Home is where I get to enjoy all the benefits of home :) I can do whatever I want (except walk around naked of course) like eat whatever's on the fridge without minding if someone else owns it. I can enjoy the stored food that's good for everyone to consume - I can enjoy the company of my family and I can enjoy the place by lying down on the empty cold floor to accompany the family cat :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

hey antiquelady, how are you? Well for me, a home is a place where I could really find genuine love. As what they say, there's no place like home and I believe it. No matter how you hated your home, you will get back to it whenever you have nothing to turn to.

well home means gaining wight to me. haha! my mum's cooking are the best. i rarely go home nowadays due to my work so my mum would cook the best among of her best cooking. i'd be eating and eating the whole day. there is always supper after a meal so it's like eating the whole day. besides that, i love being at home near to my family. they treat me best and i have all the attention when i get back home.

I like to stay at home I am a home person. Home give me warm and protect me from what is not so favourable happening outside it. I stay at home because it is snowing outside, so cold. I don't know where else to go beside home. :D I am glad to be home too. I have another home in another country where my family is. That is even better because there are more people who give me unconditional love. :)

There are times when there is no place like home. Just staying in and relaxing, wearing my comfortable clothes, sitting in my kitchen typing on my lap top. I love my bed it is comfortable. I also love curling up on the love seat and watching TV with my husband who lays on the couch when we do this. I love to be here with my kids. In the winter I don't like to go out. I like to stay all warm and cozy in my own home. But I do enjoy going out at times too. I wish my mom could be comfortable at her home. She has been divorced from my dad for nearly 10 years now and ever since the divorce she is not comfortable being at her home. She goes out as often as possible, and really only likes to go in her kitchen and bedroom when she does not have company, I feel very sad for her. My siblings and I have been trying to get her to move to a smaller home, and leave the negatives behind, I want her to move closer to me too, since she is about 40 minutes away from me.

Yup, Antiquelady, it's a place when I hide from the rest of the world, after a hard day at work. My magical world of peace and serenity! No one to disturb me, where I get to do the things I like - reading, watching TV or movies, going online! The only is my hubby though - sometimes he wants to talk and invade my world!

its so sad. i used to have my own house 4 yrs ago. got sick, lost my job, lost my lovely house, moved in with daughter, moved out 2 yrs later, had my own mobile home a while, then the economy got so bad, i've given it up to move in with oldest son and his girlfriend. so, guess its means wherever i can get online and have roof now.

Apart from the obvious answer of it being the place where you eat sleep and perform certain bodily function,my home is my place of sanctuary. Its the place where I know I have total control ,I determine what should be where ,I deteremine who comes and goes and what they do when they come there. Its my place away from the frenetic pace of work and society, its my total safe zone. There is nothing more soothing than coming home after a long day and just dropping down in you sofa and relaxing or coming in from the cold to sit by your fireplace or laying in bed and listening to the rain on the roof ,knowing you are protected from the elements.I could never imagine being without my home for too long or having to live in someone's home for too long

My home is my sanctuary, a place where I feel very peaceful, comfy, and ease my burden off. My home is also my castle, where I feel secure and protected from the harsh world out there. My home is my heaven, place where I gather around with my family, having fun and play with my daughter. My home is my restaurant, where I could taste a great cook of my wife. The underline is, my home is my everything I could think about. BR.b

my home means a lot to me. this is the first time i actually got a place of my own. i used to live with my parents at their place. after working for many years, i finally have enough to get a place of my own. my parents sold their place and moved in with me. it's simply furnished but fulfills our needs. i love staying at home now as i can relax and not worry about a thing. cheers ;p

There is no other place in this world that I would love to stay than in my home. I consider my home as a little heaven on earth. This is where I could find enough peace and comfort... in the company of my loving and thoughtful husband and my caring and sweet son. Each day as I go back home after office hours, my heart would be filled with excitement at the thought that I could again be home with my family. We can again share sweet moments as we eat, watch TV and pray together. I love my home and this is where my heart is!

I've onlu lived ion my present home for 30 months. I call it my retirement home as I will never live again on the house at the farm. It is small and I love having my bits nad pieces around me again. I have a few pieces of antique furniture that I adore. I had rented previous to buying this house so I had missed my bits and pieces. I love my garden and it is a very peaceful place to live. However, I do have friendly neighbours who are friendly without encroaching on my space. we are cramped with my son and hs twins living with me but this is an added joy for me. so I am happy and anyway, make my own happiness. I never rpay for hapiness. God shopwers us with blessings and we should make our own happiness. excellent posting. Blessings. Now I've only noticed that this is an old posting. Duh!
