Well is is 4:48AM. I am sitting in the office. I can hear the crickets outside the window.. It sounds so soothing. Makes me smile and feel happy. We even have Grasshoppers where I live.. What sounds of nature makes you feel happy inside?

Hi, it is 10:28 PM here, in California. I have a large fish aquarium and the noise of the water is soothing. It is near my computer. A nice icy glass of cold tea is comforting and makes things cozy. I feel good and so it makes me happy. I also like to have a fan on so the air is cool. Enjoy life and do your best. Trust in GOD and he will help you whatever you do.

Now the glass of tea would keep me awake. Too much caffeine, too late in the day. The nature sounds do not keep me awake. Even barking dogs do not keep me awake. I love coffee, late in the day, or tea, but if I need to be able to sleep, I had better stay away from them.

You should have driven up for coffee, I was up not long after that. I have birds outside my window here all the time, as I have the hummingbird feeders and regular seed feeders. I get all sorts of feathered creatures stopping by throughout the day.

I love when the sky gets dark on spring nights. Usually I can hear crickets chirping, the sound being carried by a slight breeze. It is peaceful, and the calm before the intense heat of summer! And I love now when dawn is just breaking and I hear an occasional bird chirp. It's like they are slowly waking up, so they are limiting their chirping until we are all up. I like it.

I use to live in the downstairs apt.. man it was awful. All they had to do was walk around and it would wake me right up! Couple times it sounded like they were using a pogo stick and bouncing from room to room. they were college kids.. Nice guys accept for the.LOL

Hi there Louise! That's really nice. I like the sound of the crickets too. But what I love the most with sounds of nature is the sound of the waves of the sea crashing into the rocks or the sand. I find it really relaxing and sometimes, I feel like it helps me release whatever extreme emotion I am feeling.

I live in SIngapore where it is really an urban jungle everywhere, and it is hard to find a spot of nature that hasn't been touched by some urban development here. But at least, I can still hear birds chirping as the day begins and the dawn breaks, and at night, when everyone is starting to sleep, you can hear to some songs of crickets in nearby parks.

So many of the sounds of nature are neat. Right now I am on my way upstairs, the windows are open, and I am going to listen to the tree frogs and other peepers, until I go to sleep.

That sounds very cool! I have heard that those Tree-frogs can get pretty loud. Do they ever keep you from falling asleep?
