I Need a Pick me Up Please!

A pick up? Are you sure this is what you need? You can get diseases from them. Why not convert your energy to other worthwhile activities like jogging around or cleaning your house? Surely, you will benefit from this than having a pick up.

Oh Rosekitty, Unlike you to feel low, I will express some special Devon clotted cream to you to make you lick your lips and smile again honey. When one of us is feeling low at home me and the girls have a cheery up cup, which is hot chocolate with whipped cream on top and we will sit and watch a chick flick, maybe 10 Things I hate About You or Coyote Ugly and then snuggle up and have a girlie chat. Sometimes though it is just a phase we have to go though to then get back up and feel alive again so I go with the ebb and flow of my moods most of the time. I have uploaded a pick of my son and his new pup Ziggy, that should make you smile. Big Huggles filled with fun and laughter. Ellie:D

Awwww! Rosekitty! You have asked the perfect person! I am sort of tall for a girl (between 5'8" and 5'9") and I have both long arms and long legs so, I can reach really far down into the lowest depths to grab ahold of you and get you out of the dumps. So, here I am stretching, sssssttttttrrrrrrreeeeeeettttttccccccchhhhhhhhiiiiiiinnnnnngggggg! Almost got you! Excuse the noises and the grunts! I've been cooped up in my own duldrums for a while licking my wounded pride. But, a good stretch in the form of helping a good friend was just the thing to snap me back into shape! Almost got cha! Ok...grab on! Heave! There ya are! Right back up here with the rest of us! Just let me dust you off a little! There...all clean! Feeling better yet? Smile! Someone is thinking about you!

Remember Rose that when things look bleak there are many whose world are more bleak than ours. You could be chained to a bed with Barney tunes playing very loudly, you could be forced to eat only mayonnaise from a spoon, your coffee could be lumpy, your only transportation could be a Big Wheel or your shoes could be filled with peanut butter. So smile and remember it could be worse.

Sometimes I feel like that, too. Not often anymore, though. Look outside, or go outside and enjoy the fresh air. Look at where you live, your house or your apartment or whatever. Did you know that you live better than 90% of the people in the world? Your pantry and fridge have food in them and there are so many that don't have any food, or have to go out and hunt for it. Ok, that makes you feel grateful but it doesn't lift you out of the dumps. Look up "happy news" and read some of the funny things that have happened and some of the truly inspirational things that people have done!

hi Rosekitty, I will give you a hug if you will give me one back. I am really feeling bad as my son,our only breadwinner, is out of work and the rents past due. Maybe a virtual hug might pull me out of my doldrums and make me a lot more postive that he will soon find a good job and we will be able to pay our bills. hugs from hatley.

Im sure its the time of year,we are heading towards the darker evenings and the cokder weather,and we maybe arent aware of the overall effect it has on our well being.Here in the UK there has been precious little summer,so we are now heading toward autumn winter without having had any real summer ,which makes it all the harder to cope with.I looked out onto my garden today and just thought what a mess it looks,a few weeks ago it was colourfyul and blooming,now it just looks sad and wind and rain battered,but then I thought how selfish of me to think like that,there are many who have had their homes flooded,their posessions ruined,so to worry about a garden is trivial.I am sure there are many people who like yourself are feeling a little down in the dumps,a little under the weather,but im sure given time it will pass.

i think its the seasons changing or something because everyone i know is down in the dumps and wondering how to cheer up too.. including me lol

I'm sorry you're feeling crappy, Rosekitty. Maybe it's the weather! I always feel down after a few days of rain and wind and being stuck indoors. If you have a nice sunny day, go outside and have a wander around. It's nice to breath some fresh air and is an instant pick-me-up! Otherwise ... chocolate?

A nice warm hug has always done wonders for me and if topped with a kiss then there is nothing like it, kiss I can not but a hug you can have :-)
