My new avatar. How new is yours??

I have been here at myLot for over a year and a half and this is the first time I have changed my avatar. That's a little hard for me to believe. I think I have thought people would relate to me more if seeing the same picutre everytime they see me.
How often do you change your avatar? What is your reason for that?

I thought I had changed mine the other day, but it did not change, I must have missed a button somewhere. I have not changed very often, that is for sure. Maybe tomorrow, or Tuesday, I will change.

I like your avatar very much, GardenGerty. The antique bottles appeal to me. The bottle on the far left and the one on the far right I actually have on display in my home.

I've had the same one, since I became a member here two years ago. I tend to be a creature of habit, and have no idea what new one I'd choose. I have no problem with those who like a different one quite often. I do look at the avatars though, and it's great if I can instantly identify the member this way.
I see you're heading to Hawaii, and Maui specifically. How exciting! Have you been before? I was there in the seventies, and Maui was the one island we didn't actually stay on. I did visit it for a day though. Hawaii is such a beautiful place.

You are an excellent example of a consistent avatar being a positive thing. I see that precious black and white kitty of yours and feel good knowing that someonesmom is among us. 
Yes, oh yes... I'm going to Maui. December will be 20 years of marriage for my husband and I. We just decided to spend the holidays there and make it a wonderful extended stay.... to celebrate all the hard work it took us to get here. Heehee 
I have been to Hawaii many times. Hubby used to travel for business and I would join him with frequent flyer miles. We worked hard to save flyer miles again and will not be paying for the three airline tickets for this trip. Using money saved for a few extra days.
I have a sorta of mystical draw to Hawaii and especially Maui. My son was conceived their 5 years ago and that might be part of it.

Awwwwwwww, thanks so much. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary. Hawaii is certainly a great place to celebrate, and with your frequent flier miles, even more so. I understand why you feel drawn to it, as I have a similar memory of a lodge where my (late) husband and I spent our second honeymoon. I had suspected I was pregnant during this time, and sure enough I found out I was (with my daughter). Take care.

Hello Making Pots!
When I started out on here two years ago (Hard to believe how the time has passed) I used a photo that was already on my computer (A boring stock photo) just to get rid of the green man! LOL My Husband did it all for me as I had no idea what I was doing!!
In January of this year I was determined that this year would be a better one and so to signify this I changed my Avatar to the current one that you see...I think too, it works better with my name then the flower garden I used to have!

Some people drive me crazy with how often they change theirs, but it's ok with me. I adapt pretty quickly. I go to the "friends started" tab. I usually look only at the avatar... if I don't recognize the avatar, then I will look at the name.
Yours caught my eye only because of the title of the post. If it had been any other discussion topic, I might have skipped right on by it, not realizing who it was. You are right, most of us do picture association, so if something changes we are all thrown off.
I try not to change my avatar very often. This one is of me at at *0's party I wen to a couple of weekends ago

Mine is my face and that's what it will remain. I know some want to be anonymous but I don't mind using my face. I feel I can relate more to a face than a photo.

I have only changed my avatar 2 times in like 3 years LOL The other time I changed it was because someone started using my avatar.

I've been here over 2 years, although not active the entire time, and have never changed my avatar. Just don't think about it plus friends here can relate to the photo and my discussions, I hope. There are a couple of others who have the same avatar but it's ok to share..lol

I've changed mine several times because I get bored with the same one all the time. Besides that, I like to mine to fit in with the holidays which I have a few of now that have both cats and dogs which is so cool! lol But it's a matter of to each his own thing. If you want to keep yours forever and ever, it's your choice. As for me, I like a change every now and then.

I've just changed mine and it's the first time I changed it in ever since I joined he he he he...I think I'm just bored with my old avatar, so I chose a new one. I think as long as people remember your nickname, no matter how often your avatar changes, they'll relate to you anyway. :-))))

I'm not for too long on the mylot so I haven't had a chance to get tired of my avatar :) I have my doll on this photo, I adore this guy. I spent a lot of money on him, with help of nmy friend, I was able to buy him after a year of wishing :) I think it looks way better than a photo of me - for sure ^^"

I like mine as it is. It matches my screenname. Also, it's easily identifiable. People see it, and recognize me. Sometimes people change their icon so often that I can't even recognize who they are, anymore. LOL

I have been here for about six months and I have been changing my avatar for three times already. Basically, I am following the seasons and maybe one day, I will put my own photo as an avatar, but as of the moment, I prefer to put something that I could relate to with my personality.
