I still have not learned all the tips myself. All I did was play around with mine and got it set up like I wanted it to look for me. Sorry I can not be of any help. Have you tried looking on microsoft web site?

Is all free and you can probably look up anything you need. Its a really good site. Good luck, I still have Windows Pro XP and don't want to change.

It is so new to me too. My step-dad has Windows Vista and it is so much different than my Windows XP. I do not think i would ever like vista. Here some sites that may be of some help to you. Windows Vista www.Microsoft.com/Windows The HowTo Geek http://www.howtogeek.com/tag/windows-vista/

Vista = Bill Gates keeping tabs on every where you go on the computer. And, if Vista can't get online every week - it locks you out.

Vista is ok...but evil and hard to fix when it breaks. (Back everything up incase!)

Here is a good place to start for help in running Vista since it's new to you. http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/default.mspx It's best to go to the ones who have put the software out which is Microsoft. There are also pdf files that you can download and print out to use later. You will probably have no real big problems with Vista. I know lots of people who have it and never have had a problem. My grandchildren have it on their laptops. The only problem my granddaughter has had is the Internet Explorer takes turns just jumping up one after another and my husband has helped her fix that two times. Once, she just rebooted and it worked fine until other day. I forgot what he said was causing that problem.

You're leaving me in the dust here... but I will say, that sometimes when there's a problem or something you're just not getting, the best thing is a short break.. When I do this, whether computer problems or website design trouble.. time away, and the solution will sometimes pop right into my head.. Otherwise I keep working at something, or searching solutions, but I'm too busy at it for logic to settle and bring the answer or insight.. Good Luck!

I'm sorry about your other puter.. that sucks! It seems you have already gotten some good tips and websites. The only other piece of advice I can offer is have LOTS of patience.. Vista is VERY quirky, (you already have figured that out I am sure) As others have pointed out though, once you get used to it, it's not so bad. For the basic home users like most of us here, its really kinda easy to get used to. I have had my Vista for almost a year now. It has grown on me just like XP did. Good luck.. feel free to message me if you might have any questions, I can probably answer them for you

Hi there... I agree with "have patience...it will grow on you"... I hope this is no violation...here is a site that has been quite helpful for us Vista users...you might like to hover along or something... http://thevistaforums.com/index.php?act=idx (if this doesn't link, perhaps you can copy and paste on to your browser...) good luck and have fun...happy mylotting

Sorry, I've heard of nothing but trouble from Vista users. I'm holding onto my XP as long as possible! I found a place that tells you how to get a refund, though: http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/productrefund/refund.mspx
