Our Canadian Friends No, don't worry folks I haven't lost it...LOL While we here in America won't be celebrating Thanksgiving until November, Canada celebrates their Thanksgiving on Monday October 12th (the same day as USA's Columbus Day)....so...... Wishing those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving on October 12th a great Thanksgiving. So if you are celebrating this Thanksgiving Day on Monday, what special plans do you have for today? Are you going to visit family, have a feast? Would love to hear your plans. And for those of us in America...are you already starting plans for Thanksgiving...yikes it's not to far from now

Hi pye, Yes, we have to wish all out Mylot friends and Mylotters from Canada on your Thanks Giving Day, and thank you pye for letting us know that because I didn't know it. We don't have any of that in our country, so next holidays will be just Christmas. Tamara

Don't you have some equivalent of a Thanksgiving Day there...a day to give thanks for one's blessings?

I always have to plan ahead for Thanksgiving. Both my kids and my sister have birthdays that week. My brother is about ten days or so before. It marks the beginning of a celebration that lasts well into February in our household. Besides, I think I am always prepared to be Thankful. Happy Thanksgiving to our norther neighbors.

My birthday runs usually a few days to a week before Thanksgiving..thought what sets off the holidays for me is Halloween..then it's like the holidays and special days snowball one after another.

I hope the Candadians have a Happy Thanksgiving Day also. I think it is neat that they celebrate it in October and us in November. I haven't made any plans for Thanksgiving this year yet.

I haven't made any real plans for Thanksgiving yet either. I wonder why the Canadian Thanksgiving is in October anyway?

Well on turkey day instead of passing out in front of the TV, I'll probably be vegged out in front of the computer.

Hey pye! Yup! Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends here at mylot! What do you Candians do on your Thanksgiving? And I'm not ready for our Turkey Day yet! I get so full just cooking the big bird! I love turkey! I hope the boys will behave this year cause Mommy is going to cook another big turkey for our Thanksgiving Day dinner. It will probably be, well I don't know just the four of us? Who knows! I don't know if any of the neighbors will be coming. If anyone is going to be home alone I will invite them. So no I don't know yet. It will be so far me, bf and Star & Luna! That's it for now!

Thanks. No special plans, but the weather's supposed to be really nice, so I'm thankful for that.

Happy Thanksgiving to Canada. Oh by the way, Sunday is the 12th of October. As for our Thanksgiving this year we will be going out of town to our youngest daughter's. I am really looking forward to it since we almost always have it here, it will be so nice to have someone else cook it for a change. Of course I will help her out but it will be good to be there.
