Nanny McPhee

Really? I've heard a lot about it before it was available here. And i watched it with my nephew. Really nice movie.

Hi lilaclady, Yes it is a great movie and the best part is the end when , doy know I can't remember if nanny ended up marrying the children's father or not,it was a long time ago since I saw the movie. Tamara

My sister told me one day that she watched it with son and they loved it, she kept bugging me to watch it so one day I saw it was going to be played on cable and I said oh let me check it out so my sister stops bugging me, well let me tell you I loved it! I have no kids here so I watched it alone and Nanny McPhee kept me glued to the set until it was over, it is a great movie. We all have a little kid in us and the little kid in me loved it!!!

Would this be a movie good for kids under the age of ten? Would love to know. I'm always looking for family friendly movies with no violence or harsh language. Still, even if it's not, I might like to watch it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Wow, it's so nice that this film had such a profound effect on you! I liked it too; it's like a darker version of Mary Poppins isn't it? I think that Emma Thompson was great in it, and I loved the children (and the donkey, lol!) I really like films that have an element of magic in them, and this is definitely one of them. I haven't seen it for a while now, hopefully it'll be on TV again soon!

Hello liladady, I've been gone for awhile there. Now just got back. If the movie you are talking about is of a nanny who has magical powers. To teach the children , of a widower that they are to behave. That truly is a good movie. It teaches the adults and kids to tell the truth and be kind to one another. That is one thing that in todays society you find little of, and that is consideration for others. I enjoyed it also. Good choice. There are more out there that teach principals as this one.

Hi Lilaclady, I love this "Nanny McPhee" movie. I watch it at HBO a couple months ago but i hope the will still play it again. The kids are adorable specially the baby one soo cute! (i am pointed my mounth now saying "cute") I love it when Nanny McPhee make the donkey dancing wearing aunty hat. I love the beginning and ending cartoon too. I saw it with the grandchildren shortly after it came out. I just loved it, so did they. I'm waiting on a second one to come. I hope it does.

I saw that one back when it was in the theatre. It is nice isn't it? Very lovely acting and scenery. the plot has a good message and it's fun as well. Does the DVD have any cool special feature? I may buy it as well if it does.

hi lilac, it is a beautiful movie ... i love the ending ... especially the bridal gown from snow ... the father'c character was also so loving and caring ... the movie was good, as you said every second of it ... cheers

I have never watched that movie, Nanny McPhee. I saw that movie for rent at Movie Gallery but I have never rented it. I wondered if it was a good movie.

Hi Lilaclady, Excellent movie!! I watched this with some of my grandchildren when it first came out. The grands really enjoyed this movie, and so did I. Emma Thompson was excellent in this movie. Thanks for reminding me about this movie, I think I need to rent this one!! I was looking for something special to do this weekend, and I think you just solved that for me. LOL Have a good day..

I saw the previews for it way back when it came out, and I thought that I did not really want to see it. But I did end up watching it and liked it very much. It was much better than I had thought it would be. It is a movie I would recommend.
