Is it possible to bake in the microwave? I've always wanted to try. What are your favorite microwave oven recipes? Please share.

I have not done it in a long time, but it can be done. I think you might just have to reduce the liquid in a recipe, but it has been so long I can recall. I do know they used to have cakemixes made especially for the microwave, but they do not make them anymore. And microwaves a re different now, most have more power. I no longer bake with white flours because i mostly eat/bake low carb, so when I experiment with recipes, I bake test batches first ( also because some of the natural sweeteners I bake with intensify while baking, so the first mini batch I make has the least, and if it comes out not sweet enough I add a little more for the final batch. But my point is try small batches. Also I have cupcake pans that were made for microwaves. Small items work better. Large cakes do not rise well in the middle, so need a circular pan/dish. I bake lasgana all the time in the microwave, but I do not use pasta, I use veggies as the layers.

Hello beauty queen. I don't have a microwave, but I have an oven left to me by my American friend. I am so sorry to say that I have no idea what I can do with the oven. So you could let me know how you use the oven and what for so that I can also use it some day.

Is your oven a full sized one or counter top oven? Cause you can make some nice baked dishes in a counter top oven if you have a small pie pan or small glass baking dish. I have made breads and such many times in the small counter top oven in my house. They're also great for warming up foods.

It is the size of a microwave oven. You have reminded me that the oven was once used to bake some fish by my friend, which was very tasty with some seasonings. Yeah, I will also try some dish next time when I am in the mood for it. Thank you so much for it, beauty queen.

I have not, not in a long time. I think you could get some good recipes online. I used to have a cookbook. I have special shaped baking pans, a heart and a Christmas tree for baking microwave cakes. I hope you find what you are looking for in the way of recipes.

When i was at college I cooked loads in the microwave now I tend to use it only for sauces and to reheat although you can make a good sponge pudding in there.
