Oh wow! I am such a stationary junky-different kinds of paper, notebooks, notepads, pens, pencils, post-it notes- you name it! I am in heaven when I am in Staples!! My friends always get me paper and journals and stuff like that for my birthday and Christmas. They know me well. LOL. How about you? Are you addicted to stationary and all that stuff?

There is no such thing as too much stationary, etc... Someone at my house is always needing something to write on and I'm able to provide it. hehehe

Thanks, Robin, for stepping forward. Now I am going to be bold and admit that I, too, am a stationary junkie. I love paper, note pads, journals, notebooks, you name it. I have a ton. I, too, receive them pretty often as gifts. I had to cut myself off when I moved recently and found dozens of notepads in various sizes that were not even opened yet. I decided I had to stop buying and use up what I have. Trouble is, I like them all for varying reasons and don't want to use them all up. I usually buy stationary or writing implements as souvenirs when I go places, so many of them have sentimental value or memories attached to them. It's good to know I am not the only one.

Hi there, I'm glad I'm not the only one!! My friends are always saying that I'm getting too old to still be such a stationary nut but I can't help myself. There is no way I can walk past some pretty coloured paper or fancy pens, I even buy novelty rubbers that I never use. Coloured Post it Notes are a big fave too. I'm ashamed to say though, that I barely get to use my fancy paper now I have email - Used to love writing letters.

Nothing to be ashamed about. Everyone has something that they are addicted to. For some it's shoes or jewelry. I still write letters. I belong to Adopt-A-Platoon and write letters to our soldiers who are overseas serving the USA. It's very worthwhile and I feel that it's a nice touch to write them by hand. That's just me, though.

That sounds just like me. I always buy notebooks, pens, pencils etc, I might not need them at the time but I can't resist buying them. I don't know how many notebooks I have and I am not sure that I want to know either ;-) Some of them are still empty but that doesn't stop me from buying new ones. I also have a thing for calenders, I don't now why but I always end up buying more calenders than I need...

I am like this too! I love new journals and notebooks, only my problem is that I never know what to write in them, so I have a lot that are just sitting, unused, lol. I love looking at brand new bound journals in book stores and other stores, and if there are ever sales or discounted ones, I usually buy them whether I need them or not! :)

Oh, I know! So many notebooks and journals and stuff. I was in staples today and was looking at all of their really cool notebooks they have out. Oy! Good thing I only had so much money to spend or I would have been in real trouble. I'm proud that I was able to control myself. LOL

When I first started working from home, 10 years ago, I really enjoyed spending time in big stationary stores, or searching in their catalogues, choosing my office stationery and supplies. Now I no longer need to use packets of printing paper, or office envelopes, and I don't use photocopying or printing equipment, so I don't have the same enthusiasm. I only occasionally buy a diary, a notepad or a book to write in, and gel pens to write with.
