No more movies in the commercials, now they show still photos and cartoons

Have you noticed that when Canadians look for the subway commercial on the Canadian channels, we see these still cards of that "match the right choice, including the monkey?" And now in the Tim Horton commercials, they have these sentimental photos of families, couples, old people, etc. enjoying life and you really have to look closely to see the Tim Horton place or that Tim Horton coffee they are enjoying? All in the name of economy. I guess McDonald has not got to still photos, but knowing the economy, give them time. I would prefer a short video rather than have this sentimental or funny music and see photos or still cartoons. How about you?

I think a mix of both types would be pleasant. I like sappy, sentimental photographs. I do not know how long it has been since I have actually watch TV, though. I am always either at work or at the computer, it seems.

I saw the commercial and it reminded me of what a bird says, "cheap, cheap, cheap."

I don't care how they do them, just as long as I don't have to read anything off of the screen. If thery want to talk behind the still pictures they can go right ahead. I just can't stand it when I am tryting to read an advertizement, and it moves onto the next frame before I'm done reading the old one.

WE have to see the Canadian commercials. We do not get the Science Fiction channel, and unless it is a high def from the States, we get those Canadian commercials taking over even in the A and E network. You are lucky you do not see our commercials. Most of them suck.

They are certainly lost in intelligence and creativity.
