I also do not know anyone who is conjoined. But there was one pair of twins, in their teens, a brother and sister joined at the head, that was featured on TV recently. They grew up with their heads attached together. And they are able to live together quiet harmoniously. And they even got different jobs and pursue different interests as well. I think if placed in such circumstances, they have to get used to it. It is sad that the twins in the article you posted cannot be seperated now. But with some adjustment and support, I am sure the girls will be able to lead fruitful lifes as well.

I do not know about the getting married part. Cos the teen twins that were featured, were still studying. There was no mentioned of a love one or some partner they are seeing. But I have full admiration for their zest for life. They are really living it to the fullest. The sister of the twin is going after a degree. The brother of the twin is performing some job to earn a living. Though they are joined at the head, they are living almost seperate lives, with one supporting the other. It was really an interesting documentary to watch.

Was his twin aware and conscious? The twin I was talking about, both of them have their own character and thoughts. And they are fully aware of what the other is feeling as well. Wow, if the twin you are talking about is married and his other half is aware and concious, it would be really weird when the married half is making out with his spouse, wouldn't it? And this fella has many kids? Are they all normal and healthy?

That is too bad. Must be a reason for it though. There have been other conjoined twins I have heard that live pretty productive lives and stay together, as it were. Life is a tangle isn't it?

yeah i have heard of a few that went on and lived a long time but i wonder with their brains overlapping if that is going to cause some brain damage as they age or something.. i hope not..

No i don't know anyone who is a conjoined twin but i heard enough about them to know that it is not an easy thing to live with there are difficulties. Not to mention privacy issues. Marriage i think would be more than a little difficult you know? How would it be "ok" that their sibling be there when wife and husband have a moment if you catch my drift? So would it be one gets married the other not? Because i think it would be rather impossible for both to try to pursue married life. Work perhaps would be a bit different since they could get their schedules coordinated so that each could do what he/she wants. It is sad but unfortunately since their brains are overlapping each other the chances that each would be living life in their own way is impossible now. God forbid if i were in that situation my conscience would not allow me to entertain the thought of going through the surgery if there was a big chance that i could lose my sibling. Living and knowing that one got their freedom to live life as they wish at the cost of their beloved sibling is no life at all.
