do you save pennies? My son keeps them in a big jar and when full, wants to donate it to a charity. Do you take the pennies from thr ground when you see one? Some say"if you don't pick up a penny, you're not worth a penny".. What's your opinion about that?

I have two containers, which I store all the coins. I have the habit of keeping all the coins since I started working. I do not like to keep the coins in my wallet. They just make the wallet bulky and it's irritating to have a bulky wallet in the rear pocket. Therefore, I always keep the coins in my other pocket instead of my wallet. Once I am home, I just keep them in the container. Over time, the coins grow until the containers are full. I just bring it to the local store to exchange them for notes. I always pick up the coins if I came across one on the road. In fact, since childhood, I came across numerous notes and coins on the road or even in the shops. Sometimes, I will just use it without aware or I will just donate it to the charity organizations.

Ya, I like to be thrifty. I think it's because that I have been raised with such good virtual from my parents. I will not take the value of the coins for granted. Every cents counts. But unfortunately, I have seen many youngsters do not appreciate the hard earned money of their parents. They are wasting a lot of money on something unnecessary.

That's still a big "saving" for you - at least you know it's for a good cause - family first!

i always pick up pennies when i see them on the ground. last week i found a quarter! but with any type of change, it may not seem like much by itself, but it doesnt take long to add up over time. we save all our change (and have a couple of garage sales during the summer) and use it for a family fun activity during the summer (like an amusement park!)

Oh, I am well worth a pennie. Haha. My ex used to throw pennies on the floor board of his truck. It made me mad. He made about twice what I did hourly so I guess He could afford it. But, that is another subject.
