Hi there friends and foes alike...LOL just joking! This topic is inspired by the great fireworks i have witnessed two hours ago...it was really great and spectacular...i can see and i look out the window it is already 9.30pm here and there i see a building very bright with lots of lights and actually it is like a very big christmas tree here in Cebu...the newest and tallest building here in the metropolis...Crown Regency CEbu...the sight is wonderful and it just makes the city more lively..it even has lights like in batman...very nice! What about you? What is the tallest building that you can see when you look out the window?

Strtosphere/Las Vegas - The Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas.
well, if i look out the window all i see is a parking lot and more 2 story apartment buildings like the one i live in. but, if i go out the front door, i can see The Stratosphere Tower(see picture) it's about 5 miles from my home, but you can see it from all over Las Vegas. at 1,149 feet, it's the tallest free standing tower in The United States, and the second tallest in The Western Hemisphere. there are amusement park rides on the top. and during holidays they shoot fireworks from the top which is really cool. it's also been in several movies. it used to have a roller coaster on the top that went around the edge....scary...but they took it down a couple of years ago. here's a link for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratosphere_Las_Vegas

I could see the crown regency building right outside my bedroom window. I haven't noticed it at first since I barely look out my window but 2 nights ago, my daughter woke up at 3a.m to relieve herself. I noticed our window open then and I asked her if she opened it and she answered me that she was looking at the crown regency building with all the lights. I immediately look out at the window and its indeed nice to behold especially at 3a.m with all the lights ablaze.

That sounds wonderful... i guess Cebu is full blast in terms of christmas spirit... here in the office... there are no views... but at the apartment... i can see a lot of not so tall buildings but with no lights... a lot of people are saving electricity now... unlike the previous years when the city and most building are so beautiful to look at...

I have been working in the ortigas area for almost two years now. The first exposure I had was when we had a meeting at the discovery suites. There I was so amazed to see tall buildings around me. Also, I like the idea that our venue was almost at the to of the building. To my astonishment, I took pictures of the sights below. Anyways, when I was working in Makati, our office was located at the tenth floor of the building, while right now, we're on the 19th floor. I can see a number of tall buildings around us. I have to say that from here I can see the Discovery suites. :)

Sunrise - Sunrise as seen from my bedroom
I just have open space outside my window where I can see just trees and greenery. Here is a photo of the view at sunrise taken from my bedroom window. I like to sit at the window for some time every morning to enjoy the view. Very rarely do we get such an excellent view in a crowded city like ours.

My gooness I can no longer see the biggest building because my sight is being covered by the other tall buildings and large trees and could no longer compare which one is the highest. So in your place, it's the Crown Regency Cebu. Now I learned you are in Cebu. I know it is a beautiful place. I wish I could visit that place again one day soon!

No andak, I am now living in the country side and I am practically surrounded by greenery. I don't have that tall building to see. but I am more comfortable staying here as the forest give me more peace than my other house where life can be very stressful surrounded by tall buildings. I definitely prefer the serenity of this place far from the fast pace of city life.

I see a three-story house sitting across the street if I look out the front window. Another one sits on the south side of us if I look out the driveway window. But, if you drive to the north end of town, you can see the skyline of Philadelphia which is getting taller and taller every day. I hate it!! It used to be they didn't build buildings taller than Ben Franklin's hat, but now they're becoming a little NYC. Just really don't like it.

maybe my little city will become like that too...now this is the only tall building from where i am located but in some parts of the city like in ayala lands..there are tall buildings too but not as big skyliners in nyc.

The tallest building I see is one story! Where I live we don't have many tall building. In fact they just built a tall casino hotel and that is our only building higher than 2-3 stories. I guess there are laws her that they can't be built higher as it was block the mountain view.

well the mountain view is most important..the building that im talking here is 40 storey high and at the top it has different adventure rides like the edgecoaster and a skywalker where you get to walk around the edges of the building to get a better view of the whole city.

I can only see our neighbors house, it is the tallest building or house here in our area. It has 4 floors and was just built a few months ago. It is about 10 houses away from our home and I could see it when I look out of the window on the left. When I look straight, I can see the rice fields and mountains of Makiling and Banahaw (Laguna). Very cool and refreshing especially that the cold season is here. I can feel the cold air on my cheeks.

I live on the seventh floor and mine is the tallest building around. Nearest height are the four storey appartments a few hundred meters away.

the tallest structure i can see from outside the window of my room here in the dorm is the Carillion tower... it's a bell tower and was only recently renovated by funds from the alumni in time for the university's centennial this year... it also happens to be the tallest structure here in the UP campus... It's been repainted, the bells are new and were imported from Europe, it's better lit at night now, and a plaza is being constructed at its base... what's directly outside our window is a lawn and across the street is the college of engineering... :)
