What are your worst fears? What are you most afraid of?

What are your worst fears? If you are able to let sure imagination run wild what is the absolute worst thing that you can imagine happening to you? What are you most afraid of? Is it a person, a place or a thing?
The absolute worst thing that I can imagine happening for me personally is a fire. I have that an irrational fear of dying in a fire, I don't like fire it is one of the things that I am most afraid of. Sometimes, I will frequently have dreams about fires. For me fire is my greatest fear? What is yours? Do you think they your personal fear is rational or irrational?
Please share your greatest fears with me and your fellow Mylotters, I wonder if many of us share the same fears?

I have strange fears. Like having to watch my family die. Also, my other fear is being blinded, or crippled, or having my limbs cut off, you know something really bad, or disfiguring, and on purpose and having to live afterwards.

i have this fear of getting trapped in an elevator again.

yes, years ago I as in an elevator and the doors wouldn't open, i was by myself. I picked up the little red phone and the guy on the other end said that they had to wait for a part and it wouldn't be there for a couple of hours.
I called him a few choice words, I also freaked out at some point and started throwing myself against the door trying to get out. When I did get out I was in the middle of an Asthma attack.
Not fun.

I was just trying to respond to this and it cleared everything I just wrote thats weird. What I was writing before I try to not have any fears. I heard a saying when I was younger and it went like this.
WE have nothing to fear but fear itself. It makes sense to me. I did however read some others respones and I would have to agree my family is imporant and I would not want anything bad happening to them. I love them so much I am not sure what I would do.
I have fear of war here in the US too. Lately it seems everything bad is happening. I pray for peace.
